  1. Owen Beck, sign him up please. Excellent performance. Clinical from Ohashi and took his second fantastically well when they could've made it a nervous end if they had pulled one back. Fully deserved too.
  2. It's been 838 pages. Let's have a rest 🙂
  3. Easier to change the team around based on training after a couple of weeks without a match. If we had one coming up Tuesday or next weekend, then I'm sure he would've kept the same eleven intact - more or less. I think Pickering is back in, and wouldn't dropping Pears now put more pressure on Toth?
  4. Siggy looked better against Blackpool but struggles defensively. His contract runs out next summer, right? And no to Cooper from me. More of the same, we need a quicker more agile CB.
  5. Surely we're paying his wages + a loan fee?
  6. Are we using him as bait to lure Wigan into letting Aasgard leave on the cheap? We need some announcements before late tomorrow or I will become a nervous wreck.
  7. Don't think JRC will play well in any position at the moment. Needs to assess his decision-making, he'll give the ball away a lot more than Brittain does at RB and Brittain makes his fair share of sloppy mistakes.
  8. Don't think Germain would be brought in as a winger. But maybe the Brighton kid instead, and wouldn't mind Rabbi too from Rangers if that deal isn't dead in the water.
  9. Some Cantwell stats. Compared him to McGregor who was in the team of the year: https://www.sofascore.com/player/compare?leftPlayerId=907070&leftPlayerSeasonId=52588&leftPlayerTournamentId=36&rightPlayerId=97046&rightPlayerSeasonId=52588&rightPlayerTournamentId=36
  10. Would think we would look to offload one if Aasgaard joins, just not sure who. Siggy?
  11. I don't think he's been playing badly at Rangers at all, so the player is already there and Eustace doesn't have to make him one 'again'. The question is how/whether it challenges the dressing room, especially considering he will be earning a lot more than a few of our other regulars. If he doesn't knuckle down in training and in matches it's easy for others to feel frustrated. I think he can work wonders in the pocket with Travis and Tronstad as enforcers behind him, and Mt. Gueye infront of him, with the buzzing Ohashi joining it. Cantwell will provide a lot of chances and chip in with a fair few goals himself if he joins, I'm sure of that. Just need to make sure the balance in the team remains right. Imagine if we could get two quick wingers in as well.
  12. Think we need another forward who can hold the ball up but Ohashi seems to do that job well and draws a fair few fouls on himself. Think another CM is a must, one that can cover ground and preferably has decent passing range.
  13. He knows Rulli, who he's competing with, from the Dutch league so will probably try and claim a stake for the #1 spot, but initially yes. Would imagine Marseille forced his wage demands up a notch as well, but who knows. Haven't seen much of de Lange or the Hungarian to pass judgement.
  14. It's the same pool of players we're shopping in. Wouldn't expect a new Kaminski, but should be an upgrade on Pears at least. We'll see how he fares I guess. I preferred one of the PL names linked myself tbh.
  15. We don't know what went on behind the scenes, but we're not the most well-oiled operation when it comes to getting deals over the line.
  16. Yeah. I think in hindsight letting Kaminski go for peanuts as a gentleman's agreement and letting Luton potentially cash in over double that after one season was total bonkers.
  17. We had feelers out right, left and centre for GK's. But de Lange ended up going to Marseille anyway, don't think he would've joined us over them if we had matched their bid.
  18. We're on a pretty strict budget so probably taking a gamble on this position and getting some better outfield players in instead. He seems like a better shot stopper than Pears, and that will help a lot - even if he might be lacking in other areas. We'll find out soon enough, Pears will be between the sticks on Saturday, that's for sure.
  19. I can agree with you on that one. Strictly maintanence.
  20. That was always going to be the case. Don’t mind loaning players from them at all.
  21. But he's not playing there, not for club OR country. He's a poor man's Diouf.
  22. Plays on the left for Iceland as well.
