I agree. Plays for himself more than the team and is struggling to settle in to the way we play. He'll come good, just needs more time. With Smods and him having an off day at the same time, we don't have enough goalscorers in the team. Lineup was probably due for a shakeup today, but noone deserved to be dropped after three wins in a row. -
I believe he mentioned it in one of the interviews after the transfer window shut, but please do correct me if I'm mistaken.
-
That's a lot of if's.
-
Didn't Egg mention there was an agreement in place, it just cannot be formalised yet?
-
Too many poor performances before he puts the odds good one in for me. Also think he plays with a lot less energy than he did when he burst onto the scene. He doesn't work as hard defensively and looks a bit lazy in the press compared to a couple of seasons ago.

Sam Szmodics-Your thoughts?
Torgeir replied to BRFC4EVA's topic in Blackburn Rovers Fans Messageboard
Hope we don't have to pay Peterborough any more for this call-up or if he makes his debut. Good on him though, he's been outstanding for us and is a real workhorse seasoned with a little flair. -
We conceded zero with him in the team versus Coventry. Travis never covers for him when he roams forward. Hopefully we can reverse the trend before our confidence is shot to pieces. Good thing there's an international break coming up as we have a few bodies out at the moment.

Coventry haven’t been in the league just one year. Newly promoted Ipswich are second in the table. Not sure what your point is exactly. The big picture is we’re a good side but without the killer instinct. Hopefully Arnor and Moran can contribute going forward and not just Szmodics. Dilan and Dolan look like League One standard to me. -

Judging by our performances so far this season, did you expect us to go there and dominate? Head firmly planted in the sand if that's the case. -

Boro and Coventry both had 12 points at this stage last season, with Boro at 24p after 20 matches (Rovers on 36). It's a loooooooooong season mate. -

Relying on a free transfer from League One. Think we just need to get onboard with Swaggots goal of obtaining safety. -

Hill and Tronstad both had good games. Dolan and Markanday just not effective enough for me, although the former looked okay early doors. Haji Wright cost €9m and came on for Simms who cost £8m (?)....that's the difference. -

No, we didn't. We faced a team that was in the play-off final last season away. What did you expect? Of course conceding a goal like that after 85 minutes is devastating, but that's just our luck at the moment. -

Like I said... difficult to break down. Good watch, just not enough quality in the side in the final third. Hill looks a good player. It's a concern that if we keep getting beat despite good efforts, our confidence levels will drop sooner or later and we'll be in trouble. -

He's just come back from injury and needs to be eased back in. A bit peculiar starting eleven. Will be interesting to see the formation. They're not the quickest side, so hopefully we can exploit that and D&D (Dilan 'n' Dolan) have a good game. -

They're not looking very potent but are a solid side that's difficult to break down. We have to stay patient and try and expose McFadzean on the break. -
Jon Dahl Tomasson - Sweden coach
Torgeir replied to Tom's topic in Blackburn Rovers Fans Messageboard
Spot on. We're committing players forward and creating chances, but we lack end product. The chances we gift our opposition are borderline criminal. Look for one point away and three at home on a general basis. -

Torgeir replied to speeeeeeedie's topic in Blackburn Rovers Fans Messageboard
Is JDT trying to get himself sacked? We're conceding left right and centre... Some great stuff on the ball, but Leicester were just sitting there waiting for us to make mistakes and then pounce. Great goal by Vardy. Soft pen given by the ref. All in all not clinical enough, Sammie the only one with the balls to finish. -

Out of all our summer signings, why didn't we sign Telalovic on a loan with a view to buy? A bit of a risk to sign him permanently, but guessing he's not on daft wages. Great result and a good draw. Was hoping for an easier fixture and at home, but with 5000 in attendance it might be better to beat Chelsea at their ground. -

I agree he hasn't lit the world on fire, but he was injured during pre-season and probably needs a bit of time to get going. Also at 19 he shouldn't be carrying the team by himself. We're creating enough chances and if our forwards had a better conversion rate (all bar Szmodics being shit) then perhaps Adam wouldn't be under such scrutiny. -

A serious injury waiting to happen the way he's being utilised at the moment. He's the best passer in the middle, while Trav and Tron have their obvious weaknesses in that department. Bucko and Wharton would be a lot more dynamic if we could get one of Trav or Tron to sit back and do the dirty work defensively.
