It’s a bit selfish of Broughton to let JDT answer all the questions regarding transfers, knowing it’s not JDT’s responsibility to recruit. The fans want to know why we haven’t signed anyone yet.

Looks like he spent the previous couple of seasons in the PL and Serie A. Wouldn’t make much sense to level down to the Championship.

If there are no takers then hopefully he’ll be willing to extend his deal for a further 12 months. Arma had a poor first season for Soton so that might scare some teams off too. Also like how frank JDT is in his interviews. Definitely putting pressure on GB and SW to deliver the goods, and letting the media and fans know who to blame if we fail to bring players in.

Not been impressed by Edun so far in his Rovers career. Hopefully he can improve his decision-making going both ways.

True. We've been through the Rothwell saga already in this thread though. Broughton is really being put to the test here. It is he who has to deliver in accordance with the framework put in place by Waggott and ultimately Venky's. I hope he's a quick learner, because he has no prior experience in a position this high up in a club's hierarchy.

Mowbray left a more than capable squad. Waggott is the main culprit for me and he’s still here. Letting established first team players in their mid/early twenties run down their contracts is a bad idea. Rothwell we probably stop from going, but along with Raya and Nyambe was mismanaged here. Received peanuts for Raya and nothing for Nyambe, Rothwell and Lenihan.

We’ll do okay as long as BBD stays. When/if he leaves is when we panic. Hopefully we can do a swap, or have some deals lined up when he does go. Selling towards the end of the window again would be criminal.
