Watched this last night, very nostalgic, pausing it to look at the old Blackburn End etc. On the same prog was Chelsea v Man Utd, which was a perfect example of how far the current state of football differs from mid 80's version. Violent tackles and scuffles unpunished, an old terraced stadium crammed with 40,000 people mostly on terraces, a remarkably bad pitch-just mud and sand everywhere, and very tight shorts! Fantastic.

The Rovers Trust/ WATR treasurer for several years, Mr Peter Dickinson has sadly passed away. Peter was a gentle and truly lovely man, who like all on the Trust offered his services for free, and further his work place offices as a regular venue for board meetings too. RIP Peter.

It's not a great surname for a jobbing footy manager really. I'd change it to something like Winalot, Invincible or Ferguson really.

BRIST and the original Trust merged. That was me, @Miller11 and a few others. We worked extremely hard, and operated like a full blown business, all voluntarily. Eventually things began to frustrate and Wayne, Dan, Neil and others stepped away. That was a superb set of people who could have changed things if the Vs would listen. Dan is still in Sweden with his young family. Keen on motorsport! .

Another 'normal' day at Rovers. Assuming what was reported yesterday is correct, IE The club decided he was not speaking to the press suggests that Thomasson warned the management (presumably Waggott) that he was going to say something pretty negative/revealing/damning about the club and presumbly the transfer business? That in itself is bizarre, and leaves it hanging over to the next time he speaks to the press. Unless there is no next time? Cannot recall of a precedent in English football, but this is the ultimate dysfunctional (family) club.
