I honestly don't think we will miss Khadra one bit and Rothwell although dynamic 8/10 games were average.. like I said we will need bodies but a fit dack is key.. Buckley will get better and of course we will need a signing or 3. Gallagher might be a lump but he can Score 18-20 goals. A solid centre back like Cahill for a season with his experience and leadership could be effective.

How do you know they're not ready?

Well we will (fingers crossed) have dack back for a full season, Carter can step up and Wharton should be even better. (Ash Phillips could be another to get game time). Rothwell is not a miss and Khadra scored about 4 goals and lost the ball more than he did more step overs. We will maybe need another loan centre back (or Cahill on a free if he hasn't retired). We will need a few bodies for sure but let's hope the DOF already has some options as well as the incoming coach. I also think Gallagher can score more if played centrally.

Head of recruitment- done diddly squat apart from having a mate at Brighton. Broughton has a background with clubs working in tandem with the first team and academy. He's qualified to the highest level as a coach also. Pretty sure he did one of his qualifications with Gerrrard. He's also got an academic, sport science and background in bringing players through to the first team- let's not forget travis only got his second chance due to a number of injuries and Mowbray played bloody Johnson up front when he could have used youth. Knowledge of players- Denmark and Norway and other untapped areas. Got to be better value than Tayo out there. but agree the head coach needs to hit the ground running. Having said that a work permit should not affect him spending a few days with the players this week and advising a plan for the following week even if he is not physically there.

Totally true. I'm a teacher (in East London) and he rocked up in a local authority meeting the year after he left rovers as a consultant to them regarding special needs. I was convinced it must be a twin. I emailed the head of the local authority to say why is someone who works in football being paid 600 a day to talk about kids with special needs... I emailed a photo of him at rovers. Never saw him again. Tbf his cv suggests he's done similar but blagger of the highest quality
