  1. After all the negativity and everything current mood is this to all the negativity 🤣 https://media1.giphy.com/media/3oFzmthEtI2Bqhc9So/200.gif
  2. Got too many game so go youth in this game some players need rest Brittain Carter Philips Pickering Morton Garrettt Hedges Smozdic dolan Vale
  3. Wow wow wow what a game I must be into S and M as being a fan who mostly attends away games and not home games I get use to seeing Rovers lose a lot over the years. it is a strange as when I look at our squad it really looks average but something is clicking and I can’t quite guess what. Whether it is JDT or not but he may be the reason. QPR I think I have only seen us win once in numerous years, but apart from a nervy 20 minutes i was actually incredibly relaxed. Great goals Trav is back, Bucko is getting there but still needs to step up for me he gave away the ball at silly times or got out muscled. JDT said he expected us to improve after the World Cup and to his credit we have. Agreed on the the football being dire and agreed it can be frustrating. But those who want him gone must clearly be delusional at this point. 4th in the league with the squad we have while developing assets. We can talk about Pears Carter JRC emergence, we are slowly building towards something quite interesting. I am not a JdT fan boy either but I give credit for the fact we are where we are. If we stay in the play off then wow give this man some more money in the transfer window and let him put his mark on this club
  4. I think the reality is not everyone stays in the first team forever Philips i imagine is expected to over take Carter in the future so if we have so much talent in one position we would need to sale one off that is not needed anymore. I don't remember a time in Rovers sake when we have been able to develop a core squad and now i feel rather than quantity we can just add that little touch of quality that is missing in the team. Even when Diaz goes, I am optimistic enough to think that we have decent wingers if we can add a quality striker and another midfielder we are in a good position.
  5. Well credit where credit is due. It is incredibly frustrating watching JDT team at times. The one thing i did think to myself is i would much rather have him with us than twist with someone else. The difference between JDT and Mowbray is from a squad perspective i really feel like the whole club is being utilised and that will add value to the squad. Just when you look at Carter we can now get a decent fee for him, Pears the last few matches should hopefully allow us to get a decent as well, we can now afford to lose Ayala in the summer with Hyam, Carter, Wharton, Philips. JRC has risen back up from the dead to add value, Jack Vale even if it is 100 or 300k it is still a fee that we are getting for players who are playing which prior to that we have seen Mowbray stick to the player who knew and like without always looking to add value. We have to remember this squad is playing without a striker and we are still in it by some miracle no idea how else.
  6. Did we not spend in the summer? Have not 3 transfer collapse in recent days? Are we right to be frustrated hell yes. You can have all the best plans in the world and sometimes just sometimes it doesn't work out do we need to consistently blame and point a finger?
  7. I don't understand what people expect the expectation seems to far out of reach reading some of the comment on here. Note that pretty much without a striker and losing 10 players in the summer and some how we are in the top 6. We signed a decent winger Yes we are missing additional players. Putting the blame of things on JDT and Broughton consistently is a broken record. I have more time to give blaming Waggot on everything he does wrong over JDT and Broughton.
  8. The manager been changed messed it all up and changed the system to not suit him so doesn’t start as regularly
  9. Thought I would add since the new manager has come the team has been awful and that counts for 8 or 9 matches prior to that he did well last season
  10. Shame to see some of the comments on Ugbo. Clearly a lot of the comments are being based off stats rather than people who follow Ligue 1. I watch a lot of ligue 1 being half French and support Lyon over there as my French team. Troyes is connected to Manchester City but Ugbo is very highly seen at the club and a player for the future to develop. The squad itself has not had an overly incredible season, the way the team plays doesn’t fit Ugbo strength either which the manager has admitted in the past. Ugbo has taken a similar path to football like Mavididi. Personally, he makes sense as a signing he is a powerful player who can hold the ball up well, and he knows how to header unlike Gallagher. Thomas will fit in perfectly into the this I actually think this is not a wow signing but a very sensible signing.
  11. To me the Sorba Thomas signals BBD leaving this window which i would be fine with
  12. Smozdic I don't mind he is a good character for the squad and tries hard the fee I haven't got a problem as i imagine it isn't 2m straight up but with bonuses etc...Within the rotational basis of the squad I think he is fine for it. I would say once we find the balance in our midfield and he gets use to that system then we will be fine.
  13. As much as i love Van Hecke another CB isn't a priority. Yes i was happy with Porteous but I think we need to first solve the Diaz dilema. I think it would be a shame to lose him on a free would rather see a sale this window and pick up behind a Curtis whose contract is running out, a Brannagan, and Van Hecke/Porteous behind to replace ayala in the summer. Even a cheeky bid for Maja giving his performance this year.
  14. Interesting Window for Rovers i feel like there plenty of deals to be made whether outgoing or incoming. i think with 18 months on Pears on contract could be a good time to sale Diaz i would take any money, loan out Philips on a recall deal, Sale Edun, keep Mola try and raise some finances
  15. Agreed the work Glen did was commendable for bringing the fight and I remember Kamy as well sharing vital information. i am not at all the person who can bring the fight like Glen did but would certainly support someone and try my best get as involved as possible from afar. Love the club but I am half French didn’t grow up in the area and have barely been to Ewood but I am very much involved in the away games which are easier for me to get too. So I know little about the grass root issues. I am happy to invest my time and discussing and seeing what can be done and hold individuals accountable. It could be simple as ourselves amongst fans organising a survey about the thoughts on the price if season tickets, structure, get out own data and facts to then hit the hammer home as to the state of the club
  16. I forgot to mention the last part was I literally have an email where they wanted to communicate on this as a PR story which i haven't got a problem with if there was some care on their side but PR based on what happened above mind-boggling.
  17. We did it! We got a draw! Popping the champagne tonight boys!
  18. Thought I would mention Josh Maja out of contract this summer been following Bordeaux as I live there at the moment 10 goals 3 assists in 18 games not bad and he has looked good this year!
  19. I have to say i am not terribly surprised by everything that Glen mentioned. One story I can share is about how the club focuses on the bottom line. I had reached out to the club around September time offering to create a small budget between 2k to 5k to sponsor fans who were previous season ticket holders but with the rise in inflation were unable to go. It was a small task but immediately while the response was obviously positive the approach was someone disappointing. Firstly they tried to charge me a full season ticket for each member, i then had to go back to point out some games had already been played and if it was simpler we could work towards doing the half season ticket offer to get more people into the stadium. I then got a rejig offer. After identifying one family with four kids i tried to offer to get the adults the latest shirt and I thought it could be nice for the club seeing as the tickets were being offered they could do a gesture for the children by given then a shirt for free or at a reduce rate. They were unwilling to do so. As time went on through multiple dialogues I just came to conclusion that I felt personally they were trying to suck me for every cent that I could give and it wasn't at all the approach I was hoping for. I was looking to build a collaboration between the club and the fans who were desperate to go and during these hard times a small gesture from the club would go a long way. In the end I sadly pulled myself away from the interaction from after not feeling comfortable that the relationship was to develop something more than a money making scheme. The idea was to year on year slowly increase contribution to bring in more children and future generations but to be honest I felt like there was absolutely no care or desire to do this. While I love the badge my connection to the club is at an all time low and i wish i could have done more but today i just wouldn't trust them with a penny.
  20. I feel like this is shaping up to be quite an interesting time in Rovers History. I know many fans are disenfranchised with the style of football, the manner of the defeats, the owners, etc... However, the names that we are going for to me personally are the right kind of player to get us out of this division like a Porteous. The main question I have mentally to deal with is what to do with Diaz? Personally if Villarreal offer us 8M for Diaz i would take it in a heart beat. It allows us to get Undav, Porteous, Haikin, and a someone else like Brannagan then we will be in a far stronger position of developing a squad The gamble is too great at this moment in time and i always believe finances have to come first to protect the club. If we get Porteous in, I feel like Ash Phillips should be loaned out to get some gets and time or sale off Scotty Wharton but would rather we loan out Phillips. If rumors are anything to go by and we get Haikin signed up, it is time to sell of Pears which i do believe we would get a decent fee. His Cup performance merit getting a fee.
  21. Just realised erdal rakip is available on a free great midfielder would add so much needed steel to the team and still a young age.
  22. To be honest chaddy would put him in a similar vein to Lenihan. He is super aggressive no nonsense center back who has a red in him due to his aggressiveness. But I would say he about the same level Lenihan but younger with a lot of growth in him still but good old classic warrior something I feel we lack in this team. I do wonder what this means for Scotty Wharton as Porteous is to replace Ayala, we are playing 4 at the back not 5 and I imagine Ash Philips will soon be ahead of him
  23. Don't think Szmodics has been awful for us, he at least puts in the miles to run and tries to affect the game i think the issue is he hasn't settled into the system yet but there is still time for him to get better.
  24. I have to admit if we Porteous will be delighted be a fan of his for a while and we have seem to be constantly linked with him for several years. Daniel Ayala has been fantastic this season but in November will be 33 i wouldn't renew his contract and we may save a few quid on the salary as well. Gelhardt looks like a decent player going forward but isn't a striker which with Diaz returning i am less worried. The main issue for me is we are missing a Lewis Travis at his best, someone to throw in the tackle and push the midfield to fight for every ball. Garrett will become a decent player but we need someone to really bring the fight in the midfield area. Morton has been decent but isn't the aggressive player we need. I feel like the reason we lose these matches is due to a lack of intensity and confidence sometimes. I feel like Dack has been an incredible support to the team since returning, but we need more players like him who take responsibility.
