  1. Confirmation too that Hedges did put a good cross in and I didn't just imagine it
  2. Not sure but I had the Hull version today. They were quite reasonable.
  3. As predicted half of this month's points haul from Hull now banked. One of if not the most boring game I've ever watched. Only Rovers can take pleasure from that rubbish, and we do with no shame, all that is needed is one in the onion bag. Highlights- that Pears clearance, the commentator calling Gueye, when he got booked, ACD. And the OG of course.
  4. 6 points courtesy of Hull before this month's end. In for a penny.........
  5. Good days. God Bless the small tinny transistor radio that I had to hold next to my ear to hear anything. It did the job.
  6. Yes, Cantwell was cool and took a perfect spot kick, the sort that can't be saved. I liked his Leeds tears 😭 😭 😭 😭 😭 impression
  7. As the commentator on CBS says Pears made a great block that should never have been needed. On another day it's in the onion bag. On the penalty no one is moaning too much about the preamble, and only because It was scored. If it had been missed by "anyone" a totally different story, and quite probably from Eustace too.
  8. As a youngster in the late 1950s and for years after the most awaited match day was the FA Cup Third Round day, the 2nd was when the Draw was made. They've killed that joy.
  9. And as Todd suggested there were Leeds tears flowing down the steps of the Darwen End
  10. Travis tapped it a few yards on field He only got booked because cunts like Bogle told the ref to Pathetic. Bogle then escapes a 2nd yellow for a sneaky dangerous push in the back of our defender.
  11. It looked bad live and worse on replay. He's having a good game overall.
  12. The game is live on TV on Paramount+ and CBS Sports Golazo in the US for those who can access same.
  13. Extended highlights, as was I when we scored. How Ohashi's ankle didn't snap is a mystery.
  14. FFS, give me the strength to endure Dolan's crap
  15. A soft sending off screwed the RoI. Another card obsessed UEFA official desperate to meet his targets. The 2nd half was a distortion.
  16. That was a competitive match last night between teams who were up for it. Greece were good opposition, a bit agricultural in their challenges but I'm not against that, it's preparation for what happens outside of the PL safe space. These games are better preparation that friendlies unless maybe we bring back the Home Internationals which old codgers like me remember. They were usually anything but friendly. We do need to get into the top bracket of of the NL and play the top sides. So, IF the NL is as worthless as claimed by some on here what is the viable alternative to using the NL or friendlies as useful tournament preparation. Playing keep up at St Georges Park isn't enough.
  17. I don't watch much PL either. I had never heard of Rogers or Hall. Lewis plays for City, I think, so is a shoe in if Pep allows it. We played well mostly, a bit of brilliance by Jones for his goal from a great attack. Gallagher put in a hell of a shift. Every single player in the England team showed by endeavour they want to play for the team. A very watchable game
  18. Injured: Saka, Alexander-Arnold, Colwill, Foden, Grealish, Palmer, Ramsdale, Rice, Branthwaite Most are real injuries. The doubts are with Colwill, Foden and Grealish. Withdrawals from England squads are nothing new, been going on for decades, and this time with a lame duck manager.
  19. Coventry sack Robins and to even consider Lampard....Burnley to even consider Rooney This is a lot to process 😄
  20. So, so true. The overall standard of referees in the PL and EFL, their assistants including VAR is somewhere south of pathetic. They make Courtney look decent.
  21. 100% A bent referee.
  22. Cardiff fell asleep during the 37 passes in our own half. Pears gets the most passes award. The final 4 or 5 passes were good though.
  23. I was with a group of mates in a Pattaya bar post golf watching the game. If I recall correctly the group had fans of MU, Liverpool, Leeds, Forest, Toon, and me, the Lone Rover. That corrupt refereeing decision was long the topic on conversation, all agreed it was a stonewall penalty. It's like MGPs miss and Courtney Palace, ones that I still think about as there were historically important. Gueyes miss, whilst hysterically bad, hasn't reached that level, it could as the season unfolds. It made me laugh at the time whilst genuinely thinking FFS he is useless and angry as I'd fallen for the lie that he could head the ball well, in attacking crosses. Get shut as any price.
  24. Not forgotten but Refs tend to pull out cards against Rovers players for the occasional silent fart.
