That would have been interesting if he had become our owner. Maybe the FA were scared of a man who was strong, spoke his mind and did things his way. He can't have been any worse than what we got.

I think he also was high up if not top in forward passes with an overall completion rate of 90%. What those stats don't show is that many are very short passes played out wide in repetitive triangles. I thought he had one of his better games for us but that was maybe because I was paying him more attention and not just picking up his errors, which I am prone to do. Siggy on the other hand was awful. He was starved of the ball but lacks the pace and aggression to make progress when on the ball so often just plays it inside or back. He rarely challenges in a tackle or aerial battle. A bit of a luxury.
