  1. He played 45 minutes against Stanley on the 6th July and has then started and played over a hour of every friendly and league game. He’s also played in every game since April. How’s he not fit?
  2. I’m far from Pears biggest fan but I read the comments on their goal on here and had to watch the highlights to check I didn’t miss anything at the game. Only the most ardent of Wahlstedt backers, now with egg on their face, can blame him for that surely. He was fine today. A solid 7. Still not good enough mind.
  3. With ten men as well. Wild celebration in the away end.
  4. The reply to the twitter post is overwhelmingly negative so it’s nothing to do with this forum. It’s a fan base that, regardless of the platform they are vocal on, have heard lies, false promises and been shafted by these owners since day one.
  5. Train to Accy. Drink. Train to Burnley and then straight to ground. Although be interesting to see if they allow the Spoons in Accy to open at 8 as usual.
  6. To be fair it went to phase 4 this morning and they were still available up till lunch.
  7. A manager can't just leave one job and go to another job as he is under contract to his current club for a set period of time. Had JDT just quit and started working at a new club then Rovers would have been entitled to take both JDT and the new club to court for breach of contract / Inducement to breach contract. JDT wanted to leave, Rovers said in order to release you from your contract you have to pay £X. Most clubs don't keep unhappy managers in this scenario as it proves detrimental.
  8. Tickle only signed a new contract at the end of least season. Can't see it. https://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/football/articles/c3ggn9lpd47o#:~:text=Wigan Athletic goalkeeper Sam Tickle, his debut in October 2021.
  9. First 'WTF' from a Premier League referee there. Disallows a stunning direct free kick from 30 yards out wide because he (incorrectly) thinks a Palace player has fouled a defender on the edge of the box.
  10. Brittain strolling back making no attempt to get goal side of the scorer at any point. It's a disaster of a goal from Rovers viewpoint.
  11. No irrational hate. I just accept that his 'job' involves generating speculation and peddling rumour. So whilst he does get quite a few things right, he also clearly puts stuff that he has no idea if it is true or not. All in order to get people to pay for his Patreon to read it. If he never posted anything about a club until he actually knew something then he would get the attention he does, thus have less followers, less subscribers and less money. Now don't get me wrong. If he links us to a player I will have a look who it is. It's not like Nathan Jones who does actually seem to make shit up. My original comment this morning was to someone implying that he had been accurate all summer, when there are plenty of 'links' which haven't seemed to have gone anywhere and the obvious example I've quoted where he was peddling an untruth as fact with no source other than a random Japanese account. As for the cult of Nixon comment, I apoligise as that was probably a bit harsh. But I didn't answer you last time firstly as I never even claimed he had the transfer exclusive and, as I've shown, you were wrong to claim he didn't state being in the country as fact. I just couldn't be bothered having this argument. He's been selling Trav all summer. Let's see.
  12. Chesterfield fans describing Markanday as a "league two cheat code."
  13. I didn't reply last time as there's no point discussing things with the cult of nicko. I never said he claimed the transfer as an exclusive so why you keep mentioning that I'm not sure. However he did put the below, which Jackson said was not true and was proven to be untrue. He finally signed on the 31st having done his medical with the others around the same time. The fact is Nixon didn't know anything but posted it as fact and got it wrong. Whether he got it from some other shitty twitter ITK account or not is irrelevant.
  14. He said Yuki was in England having a medical and then it turned out he was still in Japan. If that alone doesn't show he makes some stuff up I don't know what does.
  15. Good point but bad goals to concede. On the negative side, their first goal is all down to Brittain. A good goalkeeper could stand up and maybe save it, but the main error is losing it cheaply near the half way line. The second goal is a bigger mess. Travis is isolated but doesn’t go to the ball. He just marks space. Without his stupid booking he probably goes and takes the man out. Once it gets played in the inside channel Hyam does nothing to stop the cross. If he lunges at that he probably cuts it out. Pears distribution was a mess all game and JRC and Dolan were both poor. However still a few positives. Apart from giving the ball away, I thought we controlled the first half. Hedges has always been a steady Eddie, and had another solid showing with a good goal. Big Mak looks a handful, and showed he’s not as bad on the deck as we thought. Yuki’s header was great movement and finish and is now 3 in 3. Hope the Carter injury isn’t serious
  16. He signed a new contract at the end of November last year so that’s when it supposedly happened. Although you’d just put it written in the new contract as a release clause, not a gentleman’s verbal agreement with Swag and Egg.
  17. Hope this Ipswich fan from their forum is one of their scouts. I'm sure £2mill would be enough for Siggy.
  18. Ipswich will move on. Someone like Brentford, Bournemouth or Fulham will lose their first two games and just come knocking.
  19. Eustace was too negative (certainly at Ewood) for me last season and it nearly cost us. (JDT was too stubborn and that cost us as well) But I said the aim was to stop up and he would either go in the "success" or "failure" bucket for last season based on that end result, and this season would be a clean slate. Job done. Recruitment looks better. Initial performances and mentality look better. My expectations are low (probably driven down by shenanigans off the pitch and the thinness of the squad on paper), so if we finished 15th or above but always kept clear of the bottom three I'd say is par for the course. Top half would be a good achievement. I like the fact that Eustace seemed to take the League cup game seriously as well. The Mowbray cup capitulations used to really grate on me.
  20. Jackson said on Tuesday Szmodics was not at Ipswich, had not had a medical and was expected to feature against Stockport. The comments in the match report about being down at Ipswich appear to be tongue in cheek relating to the rumours on social media.
  21. Hope Hanley's fit. He's always "Once a Rover...." when he plays us.
  22. His finishing with his feet looks poor, but he can certainly use his height in both boxes. And, as Chaddy says, his movement is surprisingly good for a big man which will see him get his fair share of chances. I like him and Yuki so far. It's showing up those people who defended the Broughton's regime panic-buy of Telalavic with "What do you expect working on our budget"
