So, you are saying that 30% of your last posts have been about a man who hasn't been employed by Rovers in several years? -
[Archived] "global Warming"
American replied to EIEIEIO's topic in I Can't Believe It's Not Football Archive
If you look at the predictions made about global warming in the 80s ("within the next 10 years....") somewhere about 80% of them were wrong. They are being fundeed by people who want us to believe that Global Warming is a real threat. The environmental "non-profits" are really corporations who get most of their funding by giving us these predictions. Show me this evidence that it is here, by the way. Temperatures fell during some decades of industrial build up and rose during others. I could go on and on, but do recommend that you read "State of Fear." -

Den, The vast majority of the time these scientists have come to the wrong conclusions. Why should we believe them this time? (As Phil said, they have a vested interest. In addition, it's been shown that no matter the subject or conclusion, if a scientist goes into a study with a preconcieved notion, it will sway the results of the studies.) Cheers! -

At the end of WWII, the Germans left Amsterdam on bicycles stolen from the locals, as the surrounding areas were flooded to prevent them taking their tanks and such. Apparently, to this day, when Holland plays Germany they sing "give us back our bicycles" or something to that effect. I would take you up on the recommendation, but as you say it was the last day, it'll be kind of difficult.

[Archived] 50 Mbps Cable Connection.

For someone who mostly reads web pages, downloads the occasional short video and watches some streaming stuff is $20 a month worth upgrading from 1.5 to 5? -

How big of a difference are the higher speeds? Are the servers you are uploading from fast enough to make a difference? How often is your download times as fast as what your top level is? We're looking to change our cable provider, so I've been curious if I really need more than 1.5. -

I was going to read through everything before commenting, but this one made me laugh. He's too glamorous for us, so he'll go to MLS? Yes, that's where all the glamour stars have been heading. So he can play before Burnley size crowds in 100 degree (F) weather. (Yes, I know he would be a draw and raise the profile, but he would do the same for Rovers.) I'm not saying it will happen, there are a lot of other clubs who could offer more (I think Villa would be the smart destination), but it isn't out of the realm of possibility and he would be self-financing. I have to say that when I heard the news I KNEW that people on here would be saying he wasn't good enough for us. -
Then I'm suprised Eddie didn't like it!

Read the book before you disbelieve it. Plenty of facts that show the other side. Though you'll probably keep believing the hype of all of the "non-profits" like Greenpeace who make more money than a lot of corporations. -

Would this be the same scientists he discredited? Those who are usually wrong? Gee, I'm shocked that they disagreed with his book. One of your more asinine lines, Flops... -

And what makes them "experts"? The fact that they have been constantly wrong in their predictions, so change them to fit the data? The "experts" have been wrong on about 80% of their predictions so far. Lawro does better. Originally it was that things will get much warmer. Now that this is being proven wrong and Antartic temperatures overall are dropping and amount of ice is rising, it's that the extra warm air will actually make things colder (see Day After Tomorrow). Read the book State of Fear by Michael Crichton. Very interesting points backed up with well researched data. Is what we are doing good for the earth? Probably not. Is there a major overreaction? Definitely. -

5 points up in the league, down on goal differential on auto-promotion. Play number 2 next week. -
Probably not - there are about 4 or 5 of them and he's the most famous.

You sure are a grumpy old man. Just as you have every right to constantly come on here and complain about people's posts, so does Gordo.

I am in first, but it's tight. I need to strengthen my strikers and keeper, so I might wait to go up. Have to raise the cash by selling a midfielder. Probably will do it this weekend. -

1-2 Chelsea. Even if they put out their second team, it will be players with a lot to prove. -
Not only did Dowie not do himself any favors, but it will help Curbishly tremendously when he decides to go back to managing.

People, please don't quote RTM. I have him on ignore, but it doesn't work when he's quoted!! As for the match, I didn't go down, but I did listen and it sounded like we really dominated, probably one of our most recent dominating performances I can remember, at least in the number of shots. Sounds like a lot of them were at Jussi, though, but he still made a few really good saves.

First, sarcasm eludes you. Second, you are correct as to why people in the USA are fat. Genetics my bum, it's about not eating healthy and eating too much and not exercising enough. -
