Colin, did you bother reading the link I posted before you dreamed of an almost unanimous agreement? I can find you a ton more... How many would it take before you admit that you were wrong and unanimous isn't even close? Why did temperatures go down during one of the largest industrial booms, a boom that lacked the government regulation we have now? How about when they said temperatures would rise and they were 300% off in how much? How many other scientists are wrong by 300% and still considered credible?

Maybe if you didn't always go on about how crappy England is and how great Germany is you wouldn't get so much sh*t...
-
Try actually reading it. He uses cited facts from published research to back up his points, unlike you scum from Rupert's papers.

I'd keep 2 of my youth promotees who should be solid at the time. Have plenty of cash in case of injuries to get replacements for the first team. -
Anyone know the rumors of who will be playing where? I know the draw is in December, but usually the rumors are fairly accurate as to who will play where. If the US plays in Western Germany, I'll be thrilled, as our company has an apartment in Luxembourg I can stay at for free and hop the train to the matches if we play in Cologne or Kaiserslautern.

The table I saw had Israel 2 in front of Ireland and France and one in front of Switzerland. They have no more to play and the others each have one. I think the only way Israel makes it, unfortunately, is if France loses to the Faroe Islands. -

My dog almost caught a squirrel one time, maybe we could send him over. My wife claimed the squirrel mocked my dog by hanging around outside our window and riling him up. One day she took the dog (Beckham) out for a walk and as he left the front door, there was a squirrel on the porch. Beckham was able to get the squirrel's tail in his mouth, but just the hairy part. He started swinging his head and the squirrel left sans a tuft of hair. Only my wife's holding him back stopped him from having squirrel for lunch. -

Got a bunch of players about to go up to Formidible PM. Thinking about changing my training at this point, keeping 2 and selling the rest. It looks like defenders are selling for higher, but is this a usual trend, or is it cyclical? I've got one guy who will be formidible PM, passable Def, solid scoring. Probably could get a bunch for him, but will it raise his value significantly if I train his def up a couple levels, or should I sell when he hits formidible and is still only 20? -

I disagree, Eddie. Few of the European minnows are tough away venues like most of the Central American countries. For every Israel, there will be a nation on another continent that suprises, like Panama even getting to the final group. Unlike the European competition, there are actually 3 stages where a suprise can happen and a top country can get knocked out. Four if you finish 4th in stage 3 and have a playoff. -

How does Mexico have an easier qualification route than England? Who that's any good did England have to play besides Poland? (I'd go by world rankings of those in the final qualifying group, but world rankings are a joke.) The only 2 regions that have really tough qualifying are S. America and Africa (due to only the group champs qualifying). If you're a top team, you're almost always going to qualify. Qualifying for Europe is decided mostly by the draw. Who that saw the England draw didn't think they'd qualify at the time? -
Bent should be receiving passes from Murphy for England. I do like Crouch, think he does well with the ball (not only for a big man, but for a striker) at his feet passing it off, but Bent is a far better option.

Yes, he held such contempt for Cups, especially that pesky league cup. I mean, only one win and one semi? Slacker he was.

I've heard you can find a way to go through a UK proxy server, but I've never tried it. -
For those who believe that global warming is "fact" I recommend Michael Crichton's new novel. Several interesting facts, though I'm only a quarter of the way through it: The average temperature in Antartica has DROPPED over the past 100+ years. "Side-looking radar measurements show West Antartic ice is increasing at 26.8 gigatons/jr. Reversing the melting trend of the last 6,000 years." (My emphasis added.) Joughlin, I and Tulaczyk, S, 2000. Iceland and Greenland both got colder in the second half of the 20th Century than they were in the first half, with Glaciers getting larger. Between 1940 and 1970, Carbon dioxide levels rose, yet temperatures dropped, showing that there is no correlation between rising levels of CO2 and "rising" temperatures. Global temperature data has no scientific basis for collection. A lot of the temperature taking earlier in the century were from people walking outside and looking at a thermometer. Maybe got too lazy some days? In the US, which has some of the best-maintained weather stations in the world, temperatures haven't gone up by much, and have periods of going down (see 1940-1970 - also see the last 2 winters where I froze my keester off and found out last year for the first time in the 5 years I owned my car that its thermometer shows negative temperatures (farenheit)). Another interesting article I found HERE while researching this more. People talk about corporations sponsoring research to prove their points, what about environmental groups doing the same? How much money do you think groups like Greenpeace need to raise a year to sustain? How do they get people to give? They try to scare us into thinking the end of the world is near.

One of my favorite names of all times comes from baseball: Rusty Kuntz There was also a NASCAR driver named Dick Trickle, but I believe he actually changed his name to that. When one of the ESPN guys over here, Dan Patrick, used to do NASCAR stories, he would end with "and Dick Trickle finished __th"

Olivier DeCock: plays for Club Brugge, I think.
-
He was great his first sub appearance, but definitely hasn't impressed since.
-
His doing that saved us from a loss at Bolton.
-
Just think, 13 days ago we were getting relegated.

Quite a good week on the transfer front. Sold a formidible CM for 994,000 and bought an outstanding CM for 824,000 (both around the same age). The one I sold had originally been bought in May for 75,000. Should finally be able to promote, and have some money and prospects to start building my defense with some good veterans. -

Yes, god forbid they protect their trademarks. And horrors, they don't allow them to print the schedule!! Heck, brfcs.com has to pay, they should too.
