  1. I think what it is, Davey, is that if the Prem teams do well, that means that we are in one of the best leagues, if not the best, in the world. If they don't, that means we are Dundee.
  2. But Eddie, how is the game judged? By who scored more goals. You might have played better, but getting the ball in the net (and keeping it out) is part of the play. It's not as if after every match their is a panel who decides who wins or loses. If this were figure skating, we would have won, but guess what, it isn't!!!
  3. No, but we footballed 'em off the park at Ewood. But still lost, at home, and had to resort to defensive tactics to still lose. People forget that in the end, the better team that day is the one who scores more goals than the other.
  4. Nancy boy who wears gloves?
  5. Why Den, did we beat them or something by a combined 5-0 in 2 matches?
  6. Edwin netted me about 82 grand. Not too bad.
  7. How did Donovan look?
  8. In no particular order: Roy Keane Roy Keane Roy Keane Roy Keane and Roy Keane
  9. Easy to find the teams with the net nowadays.
  10. Nice to see your Uncle Dad on the pitch CC.
  11. Awake and crying every hour?
  12. Pulled this guy and put him on the transfer list: Edwin Dubose (56171024) 17 years, passable form, healthy A popular guy who is balanced and upright. Has disastrous experience and inadequate leadership abilities. Speciality: Unpredictable Nationality: USA Total Skill Index (TSI): 900 Wage: 580 US$/week Stamina: weak Goaltending: disastrous Playmaking: inadequate Passing: inadequate Winger: weak Defending: inadequate Scoring: passable Set Pieces: wretched Definitely should get me some money, though not a ton. Has the specialty, good disposition, young and very trainable, especially with the secondaries. Someone not training keepers could buy this guy and make a good profit after the season. Hopefully my keepers are getting close to Excellent and I can sell one and pull another from the youth squad.
  13. It's not what they are earning, it's the pay increases. How much better/worse off are we in the past year than in the year previous? Is that worth a double digit pay increase?
  14. But he had also denied him permission to go out on loan to another club. Probably was afraid that it would have given him more appearances to hit that 8 appearance bonus, though.
  15. You aint heard me around the house in my undies!
  16. Gotcha, thanks.
  17. Just out of curiosity, why should we be putting up Leicester as an example to strive towards? Do you want to see us (heck, what's that word you guys use instead of bankrupt?)?
  18. Your ###### it is. It deeply offends me to read @#/? like this when I come from a mixed religion Scottish family. I can promise you religion will be the last thing on the mind of any Old Firm supporter in my family or that I would consider a friend on Sunday. EDIT: Yes I am expecting the 'witty' retorts of "Oh, you're right, they're everything in Glasgow is peachy." Just out of curiosity, how many Protestant members of your family are Celtic supporters and how many Catholic members are Rangers supporters?
  19. Question for Philip and/or Jan: I'm assuming the club owns Ewood. Are the results of operations of Ewood itself included in these numbers, or is it run as a separate entity?
  20. I go with decent, but not spectacular defenders (and Jay is awesome for me, too), a VERY solid defensive midfielder with a solid backup and then load up on attacking midfielders and get a few good strikers. The 4-4-2 diamond attacking has worked well for me.
  21. I remember a couple of years ago when Young Boys played My Pa in Europe, in one of the qualifying rounds. I believe the headline was either My Pa Beats Young Boys or Young Boys Beat My Pa, I don't remember.
  22. New England Revolution - Home team Other clubs who's results I always keep an eye out for: Reading - Hanehmann and Convey, plus the fact that they are somewhat of an underdog club. Ajax - John O'Brien Hannover - Cherundolo and formerly Mathis Lyon - My wife's last name is Lyons (stupid reason, I know)
  23. Recently been listening to/enjoying: Alicia Keyes, Peter Gabriel's "Up" album, Joe Jackson's Greatest Hits and Prince, amongst others. What about everyone's "guilty pleasure" artists? You know, those you secretly like: Don't necessarily buy their albums, but when you are alone and a song comes on the radio, you crank it up and sing along, but would be ashamed if anyone caught you. Mine would include Bobby Brown, Celine Dion and Barry Manilow (but no, I'm not a Fanilow).
  24. Can we have another poll? Gav or Debs: Who files for divorce first?
