Scott Parker is also possibly available, but also doubtfully would come to us. HUGHES - ON SAVAGE (ABOUT SAVAGE - NOT PORN)

Amen. He has pulled disappearing acts too often in matches this season.

What they also do in ice hockey is they will go back and check with a video judge at the next stoppage in play if there is a chance a goal might have gone in. Usually doesn't effect the momentumn of the game, as the ref is signaled, and the video review is done while the game continues. If it is a goal they go back to the time of the goal, and all other play is for nowt (in soccer's case, it would be adding that time to stoppage). As for Fergie, the interview I saw of him was pretty good, actually. He admitted that it was a bad call, but that the only way to fix it would be to have a replay system. -
I'm just getting tired of all of the games. Over the summer it was "I've signed a new contract and will finish my career with Birmingham City." Then it was, "I would love to play for Mark Hughes, but I'm contracted to Birmingham and won't move unless they want to sell me." Then, "I want to go, I want to go, let me go before I hold my breath until I turn blue!!" I'm getting tired of all of this, and would like to see us now go after someone else who's either younger, or less expensive. As much as I'd like to see Savage here, we made 2 bids that were about what he's worth, they were rejected, time to move on.

Read an article about it today, anyone who is interested, PM me your email address, I can't post the link, as it is a pay site, but I can email the link and the article can be viewed for free for a week. What it said is that there were early warning signals and escapes by pretty much every animal except for the dogs. For some reason almost no dogs even acted weird in the minutes before, and some had to be driven to higher ground.. At one zoo, the only animal that died was a boar.

With the way we are playing now, I'm not even worrying about the relegation teams, I'm worrying about catching up to those who are slightly above us. -

Keep forgetting to look at how I did this weekend, but I'd be suprised if I don't finish second. Next season should finally be my shot at promotion. Was stuck in a tough division, plus had the guy who won this season not blown it at the end last season, I would have had a better chance. My youth pulls have been terrible, though, despite my youth rating as excellent. Waiting to pull a half-decent keeper, so I can sell one. -

I had been in the pro-Savage camp, I still think he's an excellent player, but I won't be gutted if we lose out on him. There are other options out there, and Flitty is playing like the Flitty of old lately. We still need someone to be brought in, but with his play lately, it might be a good time to take a chance on a CCC player like Sidwell who wouldn't be thrown in at the deep end, yet still given enough matches to show his worth. (Unlike Mr. 6, I will admit to having never seen Sidwell play, but have heard great things about him. You have to like when a club's supporters say they would be gutted to see him leave, but know he's too good not to be in the Prem.)

The Rovers World commentator was talking about how he hasn't done too great, but then mentioned that he might just be taking time to adapt, like Emerton last season. -
Gotta wait until I get home from work. Pic is taken, just has to be posted.

No, daheri, an interview will not affect that, but the tiredness of some of the players might. 1-0 Rovers, Jemal Johnson with a late winner after coming on as a sub and being heralded as the next savior. He then goes on a run of several months without a goal, because he isn't playing much, and people start to say he's the worst striker we've ever had. -
Exactly, you can judge who you like personally, but the true point is how many people like them. I hate to admit this, but using that guage, the Spice Girls are one of the greatest musical acts ever.
-
My point was more for the people doing the criticising. They kept using the term "the west" but the western countries weren't the only ones pledging those amounts. I'm a big believer that in times like these people will help each other out, even if the governments don't get involved. No government could give anything, but they'd still have enough donated money and supplies to make a good dent.

Cole has missed a lot for Fulham this year (and for us last). Dickov has one less than him at this point. The problem isn't Dickov, it's the lack of a good consistent partner for him.

Trade yes, of course, because as you so rightly say without money developing nations have no chance. There is a "but" to this situation. Wealthier societies chose to take advantage of low wage economies, alternate climates etc to produce and transport luxury goods around the world. We do not need to eat strawberries at Christmas, we do not need little dinky vegetables or exotic cut flowers flown from Kenya to our supermarket shelves. If we really do need those products we should be paying the true cost, we consume and consume without, for the large part, a thought about the impact on others. Anyway this digresses from the debate. It doesn't really matter who donates what, we simply have to help. I feel, very strongly, that by paying a proper price for what we have learnt to consider a cheap daily product we would contribute far more to those in need in the longer term. I don't suggest an equal distribution of wealth simply a fair price for what we take. Paul, supply and demand dictates that we do pay a fair price. It's not like we hold a gun to these people's heads and force them to sell us the stuff cheaply. We are paying what it is worth, because the market dictates what it is worth.
-
Honestly, USA, part of my originally being upset is that when you try to donate, there always seems to be someone who complains about what or how you donate. We tend to give most stuff we don't use anymore, especially clothing that is still in good shape away. So many organizations give you a hassle and will only accept certain things, or in certain ways. It felt odd last week when I brought some old linens to a dog shelter/hospital so they can use them for bedding, and such, along with a can of tennis balls. I actually had the person accept the box I brought in without a second glance, and both people there said "thank you" in a way that you could truly tell they were happy and touched that someone had just walked off the street and gave them a donation. It was so different from the normal way these organizations act, like they are doing you a favor by accepting your donation. The point I'm making (to get back on topic here) is that any assistance should be thanked, not criticised.

As an escape from the bickering for one post: One interesting fact that I noticed was that they did not find a single animal corpse yet. They say that all of the animals in the area sensed what was coming and moved away. We really need to spend more time and effort monitoring the animals in the area, rather than the weather, as they usually are the true test.

You also cause a lot of the problems . If you didn't arm half the world peacekeeping would probably be a lot cheaper. I'm not using this to promote any anti-american sentiments, I have nothing against the country, just don't like it when they try and pass themselves off as better than they are. If you really want to base this discussion on articles though, I can produce a ton that talk about how poor America's contribution to the United Nations is, even compared to some other nations. Find me one that takes into account money we spend on peacekeeping troops.
-
One of the points of us not paying the "proper" dues to the UN is that we pay MUCH more than our share for most peacekeeping missions (like when we had to go in and do what Europe failed to do in Bosnia). It seems that most UN coalitions are made up of mostly US forces, hardly any in comparison from Russia, Germany and France (though that's not a bad thing, we don't want the UN forces to learn to surrender). We foot the bill for the troops and supplies in cases like that, spending more than any other UN nation.
