  1. If MGP has a stormer of a game, the pressure will be there to pick him, maybe. Let's just hope if he does get picked he'll play better than last time he was picked. Funny how this is all a big conspiracy and has nothing to do with the fact he played like crap when he had his chance.
  2. Fulham with Cole in the lineup - 11 points Blackburn with Dickov in the lineup - 9 points Not a huge difference. I will give you, however, that we do need another in-form striker. Had the board released the funds for JFH, that would have helped, but in a season or 2, we would have been saddled with another moping overpaid striker. We probably should have made more of a play for Radzinsky. Dickov is doing a great job, but I'd prefer to see one of 2 things: First, his running around opening up spaces for another, in-form striker (we were starting to see that with Jay before "the incident" - he even had 2 really good chances before being sent off). Second, I'd like to see "the pest" coming on with his fresh legs against the tired legs of the defenders for the last 20-30 minutes. I think Dickov would be MUCH more effective in that role. Yes, he has a few goals now, but who knows how many more he might have had he been being used in that role all season. I don't think anyone is faulting Dickov, but we think he can be used more effectively.
  3. he did say self respecting!!
  4. How did Fulham do today?
  5. How can really, the only remembered player (so he must have been pretty darn good for his time) of a FIVE time championship team be left out? Sherwood has 4 to go.
  6. And the outrage was much more when Souness demoted him than it is now. I guess the rumors of him having a "lifetime" contract are false, then. Time for Hughes to get his own people in, just suprised that they didn't offer him some token low paying job with the club, or a minor part-time scouting position.
  7. Sorry, Abs, no web cam. Even pointing out that the way this season's going she might not have to show much didn't work. She won't become Everton Lass, either (her team).
  8. Am I the only one finding it ironic that people want to wear designer clothes to make a statement to the world, but when the statement made is not the statement they want they get all up in arms? Wouldn't it be easier to wear a sign "Not a hoolie, I just want you to think I'm well off and fashionable"?
  9. Well, asked the wife last night, but she wasn't going for it. Even told her she didn't have to be "Rovers Lass" that I could just be "Rovers Pimp" but for some bizarre reason, she didn't go for that either. At least she got a good chuckle from the whole thing and I didn't get a smack.
  10. I'll get the missus to do it. I've searched the internet high and low, and still haven't found a better set than she has!!
  11. And Abbey volunteers to take the pics (I would, but kinda tough from here - Abs, is she worth a flight over each time we win?).
  12. We need a Rovers version of THIS (CONTAINS ADULT CONTENT) Lyn? I know I'll be watching in anticipation for the next Hammers victory!! Hope they go undefeated the rest of the season!
  13. If you really want to see how these sickos justify their behavior, READ THIS
  14. Down 2-1 at the half, came back to win 2-5. 2nd right now on goal differential. Afraid to PIC, as most teams seem to be active. Play the top in 2 weeks at his place.
  15. West used to play for the Columbus Crew (teammate of McBride), good player, had heard he was doing well. Interesting reports on Russell, as all you read over here says he's pretty solid. Nice to hear the other side of things. Definitely interested to see how he progresses.
  16. From Tim in the other thread. Sounds a lot like the problems that face us here in the US. It has been shown that the only way to treat most of these people is to have them chemically castrated. I think they should just let them in with the regular prison population instead of segregating them like most prisons do. Funny thing, what these monsters do is even considered too sick for most hard core criminals to handle.
  17. To the Norwegian fans out there. Anyone watch Rosenborg on a regular basis? If so, how does Robbie Russell, the American defender look? I've been reading good reports on him, but most of the stuff is 3rd hand.
  18. Jim, The stand/sit thread is not an example that the majority want to ruin the experience. If you actually read most of the posts, the majority want a section so that they can stand without inconveniencing those behind them. Not everyone is like Hughsey who just wants to stand, f-all who are behind him. "But Mommy, Timmy gets to stay up until midnight on school nights." The MAJORITY of the fans seem to want to find a happy balance, and that is what the stand/sit campaign is about.
  19. Are you lofty in disguise?
  20. Yeah, I have a solid youth squad, but pulled 19 year old rubbish for the 3rd or 4th time in a row. Getting double digit TSIs. From what I've read, though, you'll probably get one or 2 good ones a season.
  21. John
  22. Bryan
  23. 0-4, Rovers. The much-maligned Stead, Matteo, and Neill x2.
  24. not sure if you are saying Cole has not been that good this season, but I would disagree and Fulham would seem to aswell, this is from there offical match report from the weekend, someone must be pretty happy. "Andrew Cole put in a compelling display of skill, guile and subtlety. His movement and passing was breathtaking, and his brilliantly taken goal after he combined with Luis Boa Morte was his fifth in eight League games for his new club. Centre Forward for England? They could do a lot worse." I did see some of the highlights on sky and he was a different class, not sure about breathtaking but then these are Fulham supporters after all. What I'm saying is that his individual quality (when he wants to show it) doesn't bring as much to the team as people seem to say and think. Had he come in and carried them to a top 6-8 start, then it would be a different story. Instead, he's already cost them at least 2 points with his stupid outburst against West Brom. And remember, with him in the lineup last season, we weren't too much better than we are now. My point more is that there are players we could have tried to get who would have done the same job for lesser pay. The failure was not seeing who might be available and then going after them.
  25. I'm guessing if you ever had a time in the past where the love of your life and you split, no matter who was at fault, you then are a traitor for kissing your new love? Move on, already. Chelsea pay his wages, he should be loyal to them. For 70,000 a week, I'd kiss Roman's keister after every goal.
