  1. Damn, Krislu stays around... (then again, Alec Baldwin said he'd move out of the country if Bush was elected, and I'm still waiting for him to leave.)
  2. And he's putting a fiver on Rovers for me!! I've worn the lucky Friedel jersey to work, under my work clothes, we will win!!
  3. I have the same feeling, but forgot we were playing at Highbury the day of the meeting!! He did say he wants to play for a big club, and as we know, Spuds definitely fits that bill!!
  4. And you know this how....??
  5. Have we officially dropped interest in El Hamsdakjflaskehsdap (I was gonna spell it wrong anyhow)? Or are we just rumored to have? Wouldn't be suprised to see that deal fall in under the radar at the last minute (not saying I expect it to, just that I won't be shocked if it does).
  6. Hey, hey, we aren't playing Leicester or Newcastle!!!
  7. The sad part is, for the first 60 minutes or so, he was doing a great job reffing. I still refuse to admit they scored the penalty and we lost. I blame Brad for diving the wrong way.
  8. Let's just put 11 men in the box (including the keeper, of course) like some teams in Oceania have been known to do. But seriously, even IF we do lose, we will hold our own.
  9. And you know Flitcroft was playing poorly in training how?
  10. My point is that it has worked in the past, so it isn't a dumb move to play him there again. Oh, wait, I forgot, Souness is supposed to have a crystal ball and know that he was going to be rubbish yesterday, just like he wasn't before.
  11. I thought Flitty played right midfield vs. Fulham last season...
  12. He used a formation for the first half that worked well away from home at the end of last season. We got down at the half, so he changed tactics because we were now playing catch up. Funny how no one was criticizing playing 4 central midfielders after the Fulham match last season.
  13. Actually, he scored one or two like it last season...
  14. I'm going with 2 seasons ago: we lose or draw when we are supposed to win and win when we are supposed to lose. 2-1 Rovers, Dickov and Emerton for us, Ljundberg for them.
  15. You're talking out of your arse mate. You think I've been involved in building up this site, as well as the norwegian one over the last years if I'm not a 'real' fan? You know nothing about me. Don't agree with you on much Tchocky, but I'm with you on this one. Another ignorant post by someone who doesn't understand all that we have to go through to support Rovers. Just cause I don't live in England doesn't mean I didn't spend over 3,000 pounds last season to watch one match in person and will spend almost the same this season to do the same. Oh, and VERY disappointed by the Ferguson performance, despite the goal. Our defense also left them too much space too often, it seemed just a matter of time before they equalized. Brad should be given some rest. Emerton showed flashes, but was standing around on the goal. That being said, Beattie isn't THAT good that 2 central defenders need to mark him. And Dickov was MOTM for us, Fernandes or Phillips for them. Fernandes did do most of his best work when he drifted inside, away from Matteo, who did a good job on the left.
  16. Cue childish snickering....
  17. And we use the proceeds from the sale of Dickov to buy new kits from Nike, even though they offer us good money to make them.
  18. Why? Because you watched the entire preseason training and got to see how each of them were performing?
  19. we're signing a new German striker? Wow, similar name to our keeper, but spelled different...
  20. I'd think Thommo is out because they don't want to push him and have him play in 2 matches in a week (3 if you count Arsenal). Sounds like a smart move to me.
  21. I had to go with what USABlue and Al said and pick Roger Jones. I tend to respect their opinions as knowledgeable, and definitely was seeing eye to eye with USA last season on Brad's form.
  22. I'll be up for a challenge as well, if anyone wants. Post on here what your team name is if you decide to challenge me (my # is somewhere further up on here). Got luck this week, was about to go a thousand or so into debt, but found a guy who has the same name as my 17yo midfielder (TSI of 450), so offered me $100,000 for him! Have been doing pretty well week to week, about break even over a 2 week period, so that should put me in good shape for the next couple months. Will do a home and home, but would prefer to do the first match at my place, as I've been travelling a lot the last few weeks.
  23. Yes, plenty of Celtic supporters were slating him, but O'Neill still wanted him to stay when we got him.
  24. Never said it was an excuse, but it was the reason we didn't win, not the tactics. Yes, our defending of free kicks is terrible, but it has nothing to do with the tactics deployed in the first half. We could have had the perfect formation out there, but still have been down 0-1. Hey, we got a draw with a club who could be this year's Portsmouth. Bet you were also complaining after we drew with Sunderland opening day 2 seasons ago. That season didn't end up too bad.... How long do we let what continue? A sixth place finish preceeded by a 10th place and a cup win? Wow, one bad season last season and all of the sudden its gloom and doom. Hey, a draw with relegation fodder, oh no, we're doomed it's like 2002/03 all over again!!!! And Souness also said that survival is a priority he wants to be past by midseason.
