The ignorance and stupidity of Rovers fans on social media
Silas replied to Dan's topic in Blackburn Rovers Fans Messageboard
"....let's stick with what we understand and like...." Fairly patronising that. What, us thick football fans couldn't possibly understand the complex 4D chess that's involved in running a football club. Just stick to the simple stuff, your team getting the round thing in the net, and making up funny chants. Don't dare try and wrap your simple mind around the basic admin that happens thousands of times in hundreds of clubs across the globe. Worried people might get brain ache. -

Been posted a few pages back. But no harm doing it again in invisible ink I suppose. Maybe if we can't see it, it will cease to exist. -

If I'm ever up at Court in front of a jury of my peers, I want these people to be my peers. Reasonable doubt would become a gaping chasm like the Grand Canyon. No blame apportionable to the relevant parties, and all transgressions swept under the carpet after the most basic levels of remorse and promises to learn and improve (no need to action on them either). -

"Administrative error" is doing a lot of heavy lifting in that statement. I would prefer they actually fessed up on precisely what that means. 1 hour is a long time in a transfer deadline day scenario. (like dog years) I don't know how this modern fax system works, but if it's like email where you think something has been sent and then find it stuck in the outbox, then fair enough, these things can happen. But if it's because Bob thought Sarah was doing it, and Sarah thought Bob had already done it, then that's a whole other situation. Particularly when we find out that Bob was busy ordering an office takeaway as a celebration treat. That's genuinely the level of competence I envisage in this operation sometimes. That a potential multi-million pound deal could be ruined because someone was deciding what toppings they needed on their sodding Dominos, and checking whether the 25% off code was valid on a Thursday. -

Love Rovers/ Loathe Raos LR/LR in a mirror image. One side full of colour, life and joy, the other decayed, fetid and rancid. The old yin yang, heaven and hell, light and shade format. -
McGuire must be hoping that international clearance doesn't come through. Imagine travelling across the World to be greeted by this.

As a messageboard historian and connoisseur, I'd have thought you would maybe tag him in, and give right of reply. @J*B Or you trying to create your own echo. -

An abysmal spelling of yesterday. In a modern age where technology literally does it for you. -

Be honest haven't followed their story, but did look at their league position other day and think- bloody hell, how did they end up there? I am very afraid. But maybe I shud wait till 11pm tomorrow when all will be rosy. -

So, if this plays out, all transfers cancelled, manager and D of F walk. What then from the football governing bodies. The institutions that have Fit and Proper tests, FFP,. all because they say the primary objective is protecting clubs from harm. Do they sit by and watch on whilst absent owners the other side of the World destroy a club. Is that the sort of duty of care they virtue signal about. Bollocks off! They don’t give a shit about anything other than the gravy train at the top. -
Brave coming on here on the day you play City. Can I humbly request you stick around till about 9.30ish. Reckon you might find some willing watchalong partners. 😀

It hadn't actually dawned on me that those figures went into your revenue. For the bog boys that did it - Man City Spurs etc- was probably relative peanuts. But at your current level I'm guessing that's a big chunk. -

Why not try and enlighten us. Don't have to take offence, but some of us don't know everything about clubs that have been 3 leagues apart for the most part. Other than the recent hype. Where do you think you're headed? Lots of talk about attendances, but with a 13k stadium, we're struggling to survive in Championship with 14/15k figures. So how do you reach higher than League 1 with FFP constraints? Maybe we could have an adult chat instead of picking fights. Just a thought. -

What the hell is wrong with modern society that people have zero self awareness? They're getting all frothy mouthed about the JW era, seemingly completely unaware of the similarities (barring the local owner vs miles away owners). Good, honest, historic working class town riding the crest of wave after having substantial financial backing pumped in. Clubs with a decent background that had languished somewhat in the decade or so before the new journey began. An amazing feel good factor that unites the local fan base (and draws in new fans from outside) as the club not only becomes successful on the pitch, but does wonders for the geographical area itself. But they're calling us a bunch of w****rs for enjoying and celebrating that period, whilst they are currently neck deep in it. 🤔 Siri, give me a real life example of a famous meme:
