v Preston North End (h) - 10/11/23
Silas replied to simongarnerisgod's topic in Blackburn Rovers Fans Messageboard
Course you can. It's just collateral damage I'm afraid. If I don't hide your post, everyone can still read his. That, then would cause many more people to be (quite rightly) offended by it, and react similar to you. The thread then goes way off topic, and I personally didn't think his comment deserved that oxygen. Please don't take it personally, we don't like hiding poster contributions, but sometimes think it's the best choice for the board in general. -

Interesting that you only care about said opinions when Preston have beaten or drawn with us. That thirst for knowledge seems to have waned when we beat you 3-0 and 4-1. Weird. -

Binning the lot of them posts gents, so to speak. It's shit, again, for the 123rd time getting kicked in the balls right by the final whistle. But can we not rip into each other please. -

Yeah, it's not the tap in they're painting. Tricky height the ball arrived at. -
Yep, I can't even count in single digits. I'm still considering them joint bottom.

Sheff Utd score. Bottom of the table. 😀

It's absolutely hilarious is what it is. Talk about taking a kicking when you're down.

He's given us no credit whatsoever. Despite seeming to have a good bit of knowledge on Rovers- Travis nearly leaving in summer, referencing our QPR/Plymouth contrasting performances- that's more than the average mainstream channels. And yet has panned us despite the obvious gulf in cost and quality. -

Only reason I can think him not giving it from his angle is cos Chelsea player turned his back. -
Any updates gents? Can't speak for everyone, but I suspect your presence might be more warmly received this season than it was last. 😜

Of course the new injury time directive doesn't apply to us. Why would it. -
The linesman's tight there. Can understand it on breaks when they're not up with play. It's the VAR virus. They bottle it and figure a replay will rule out any try. But very few breaks are trys. So we just end up with it being flung forward regularly.

Midweek matches maybe? 🤷🏻♂️ -

Accepted. Wasn't even so much a comment about the keepers, more the yin yang of life. We had all that stability and dependency in net for a decade plus. Now we're being punished with clangers season after season. Maybe in my head, but like with 85+ goals conceded, I'd love to see our stats for goalkeeper error last 10 years. Got to be up there compared to other teams. -

Cursed in the keeper spot since Brad and maybe Robbo. -

But surely that theory can also be applied to us attacking. The CM with head down on the ball can easier spot the winger/ST run from corner of eye. There must have been some studies done on this kind of stuff. -

Wow, what a stat. The night gets more depressing. I've instantly googled win % relegation and it gave me 19%. That stat gives us 24%. So we're good right. -

Hmmm. I'd have to watch again then. But maybe he did have one hand on the ball on top of the ground. I thought that was fair game tbf. Particularly as he only had it in that position for a split second. -

Really. Even the lightest of touches with one hand. I genuinely don't know the rule. -

I was surprised in real time too, but replay shows ball was there to be won. Besides, since when do refs do their own 1 min debate to come to a decision. Certainly never happens when we're getting robbed. -

Keeper never had that secured. -
Harsh. I had Man City and Newcastle fans massaging me about the keepy uppy goal. Blew minds when I told them it was his weaker foot. If Markanda...y can bag a few of them we're laughing. Don't even know why I'm rooting for him so much. Maybe because he's a nearly man. And I naively dream a nearly man can become the man. Diaz Mk 2 so soon. 🤞
-
Which probably means more of Markanday on the right. I really wanted him to work out. Showed glimpses of being an exciting player. But I'm getting Formica flashbacks.
-
This is frustrating, they've got a real player with Koleosho. For about 3 Mill too. Steal. He's playing so well it might even cause some of them to resurface. Man U scored. Maybe they'll stay in hiding.
