  1. Lose and the barcodes beat the big club we can say goodbye to Europe, as we really are not going to beat Chelski if we are honest with ourselves. Win and we put ourselves ahead of the Barcodes even if they win as they would have to beat the big club at least 0-2 to go above us if we win assuming we only win 0-1.
  2. Barcelona v Arsenal should make for a very attacking final as neither side is good at defending.
  3. He wouldn't get killed out there and has to be playing better than Micky Gray he has been shocking of late and he is better than Mateo. Gresko has a lot to prove, he needs games if he is going to find a team to take him next season and that should be enough motivation for him to play well.
  4. Give Vratislav Gresko a run out this weekend at left back, it would be nice to see him in a Rovers shirt for more than likely his game/s before he is released in the summer.
  5. My real first choice as England Manager. Managed everywhere in England and has led is in a WC already.
  6. Scolari has my vote, top CV and has done the business at the highest level. Top Manager, but i heard a funny comment on his win as Brazillian coach and that was that even Stevie Wonder can have won the WC with that squad of Brazillians that he had.lol. Actually come to think of it, it wasn't that funny. I heard some negative comments on TalkSport yesterday afternoon about his tactics as Portugal manager like that he insists playing with one striker against any nation which has led to draws versus Lichenstein and Moldova and that he plays a very defensive game which with the players he has had at is disposal i cannot believe that. Ignoring all that i would be very happy if he signed on the dotted line as England manager. Anyone has to be better than Fat Sam, Martin O'Neil and Steve Mclaren.
  7. This is the best one i could find on google for now but i will dig out the one that is in my bedroom sometime and scan it in because it is a classic.
  8. I loved the picture of us being given the cup that day. They set the thing up in the Spurs end with nobody in the crowd when the picture was taken due to the Spuds fans leaving. I had to laugh at that, i will try and dig the picture out lads. lol.
  9. The jury is still out with MGP!! Is he in the same league as Duffer-NO! IMO if he improves the following things and the club signs a decent left back to cover him he could be great; 1.Workrate-Increase tenfold and we should see an improvement 2.Attitude-At numerous away games this season he hs looked uninterested such as the Pompey match 3.Awareness-He doesn't seem as aware as he was at the start of the season-he were springing passes at the start of the season and going at his man but now he is just laying the ball off and not trying to beat the man. Like i've mentioned in numerous posts on this topic i think he will be all the better for the summer break and come back ready, willing and able for next season.
  10. Barcelona or Milan will tear the ARSEnal to shreads in the final, as last night proved that when they get nervous they begin to shy away from their delicate quick passing football and try and hoof the ball to Henry which doesn't work. I just feel that Milan will be to tactically smart for them with their strong defence and with Kaka & Shevchenko to unlock their defence. The Milan or Barcelona players wouldn't have missed those Villareal chances last night and as such Arsenal got lucky to go through as they were on the back foot throughout last nights game. I really do hope Barcelona get through to the final as then the final will have too sides that love to attack which could make for a thrilling encouter in the Stade de France.
  11. He has the potential but it is whether or not he is willing to work at it and that is my only problem with him.
  12. Duffer was in a class of his own though, MGP has a long way to go before he can demand the respect Duff had.
  13. Next season will be the year we get a good picture of what he can do. He is a talented individual but i would like to see him improve his work-rate over the summer. He has a lot to prove next season-yes he has scored some very important goals but when the goals dry up and it leaves a player wanting it shows how good that player really is to come out of that rut a better player and thats what Pedersen has to do next year-prove his worth to team not by just scoring goals but by showing his all-round game. A;lso by stopping him from going for goal from bloody corners. It may have worked when he were 9 or 10 but its not going to work in the Prem especially when keepers know what he is going to try and do.
  14. I used to use that philosphopy(sp) Hughesy, then it didn't work. I got a feeling Marcus Bent might be up for this one.
  15. It could be closer next year depending on who Chelski buy. Jose has said he wants a defender, a midfielder and a striker. Now we know he doesn't always buy the biggest names for the positions he wants filling but just think about it, if he buys Nesta, Joaquin and Adriano or Shevchenko do you really think its going to be closer next season. I think not. Money is no object to Roman as his fortune has increasd over the last year due to the increase in the cost of oil. Then again it also depends on who Manure and Liverpool sign, if they sign well they both stand a chance to challenge for the title.
  16. Maybe MGP is burnt out, i know i am going to get slated for saying that but maybe it is true. The lad has never played so many games in his career, he's played nearly every Premiership match, all of our cup matches and played for Norway in WC qualification and friendlys. Now i know he is a Premiership footballer and IMO they shouldn't ever be burnt out but maybe this is a possibility. Las season he didn't play half as many matches, in Norway he would have played even fewer games and as such i think burn out is a real possibility. Just look at how well he performed in the first 6 months of the season, he was fresh then and looked really nto his football. A sympton of burn out is looking lathergic durng exercise. Slate me all you like for suggessting it but IMO it may be happening to him.
  17. If we beat Charlotn then we will IMO have secured Uefa Cup Football next season as the Barcodes aren't going to beat Chelski and notloB only turn up against sides with sweet fa to play for at this time of the season and they have to play Birmingham and Spuds, both teams that need the points for different reasons. 4 out of the next 9 should see us home and dry but football is a very funny game, i could be wrong.
  18. A lot of our hate for Chelski does have a lot to the with the self-proclaimed "Special One". His arrogance is so annoying, he cannot admit when he is wrong but is the first to brag when he gets a decision correct or wins a trophey.
  19. If they give it to McClaren i for one will not be happy he is not good enough simple as.
  20. Lets all be honest we are all slagging Chelski off and myself included because they have somehow found a rich man to back them and has brought them the good times that we all wish for. maybe they have done it in an unorthodox way but they are still the champions.
  21. Bring on the DVD!!!!! Maybe as an extras bit on the DVD we could have all the dodgy goals that we have conceded this season due to poor officiating e.g. Keane's goals versus us at WHL and Fowlers last weekend with the invisible Cisse, the scuffed volley from Saha in the cup semi, the Nicky Butt bobbler from Wednesday and the not so free kick versus Newcastle in September. It would make for good viewing in soem ironic, sick way lol.
  22. This match totally depends on which Charlton side turns up. If its the same one that got battered at notloB yesterday, we should win. But i think Curbs will have them up for this one, as we did beat them with 3 late goals there in the cup and their pride will ahve been hurt by that defeat and as such i think that they will cause us a fair few problems. Charlton 3 Rovers 2
  23. Thats all nice Roverite but none of that is going to happen unfortunately.
  24. Its not accomplishment for them to win the league. They have down right bought the title. At least when we won the league we played great football and we did it with predominantly British players and we didn't buy every single decent player going worldwide to do it. We did it on players of the likes of Ripley, Wilcox, Hendry and Flowers in a world of football that had the likes of Romario, Ronaldo, Hierro and many other top world class players. We only had one player that could be called world class and he was Alan Shearer. Now compare that to Chelsea they have IMO the best keeper in the world in Petr Chek (pardon the sp), Duff, SWP, Joe Cole, Hernan Crespo, Del Horno, Drogba, Makalele and Essien. Every single one of those players plays international football. Plus Makelele has won everythig in world football, he's won a world cup, european championship and every Spainish domestic title and the Champions League. So IMO they have bought the league and until they stop buying all the competition's best players they will only do that and they will end up being hated for it just like they are now.
  25. I like MGP he is one player that the media just doesn't slag off unlik ever other player we have. I think he has potential but i also beleive that he is starting to believe his own hype, yes he scores very good goals but apart from that, what else does he do. I think that it is quite funny that all my non-rovers supporting mates think he is the dogs nuts just because they have seen the highlights on MOTD of his goals but when i took them to the Liverpool game with me last Sunday when i was feeling crap, they noticed how poor he really can be. But in his defence, it cannot be too easy trying to cover for Mickey Gray at Left Back when he goes missing can it? Everyone has a purple patch and every player goes through a bad patch in the same season but its the truly great players who can ride through the bad patches and come out of them a better player and a man in that right. I hope MGP proves to be a top player. I think i'll end on that note lol.
