  1. I am fed up now, losing to that load of @#/? wtf has Pongo done to ###### MH off and what has Todd done. One minute he's captain next minute he can't even get on the bench. Go figure. We really need to beat Charlton and Man City now as the barcodes, Whammers and Notlobers are in the race for sixth place now and we aren't going to stay there if we keep performing like this. Maybe we have over achieved this season, i ain't complaining if we have but at the moment we are looking like a very poor side with one top class player in Bellamy. MGP looks like he wants to go home to Norway and do his Miss Norway girlfriend, Bentley looks creative but is tactically niave and Dickov looks like he's ready to go back to Man City already.
  2. Dickov is playing like he isn't bothered about the results at the moment. He ius lacking his usual hustle and bustle that he is reknown for and when he is lacking in that he is useless. He doesn't have pace anymore, his finishing isn't there and he hasn't got a creative bone in his body. yes he is an effective striker when he is on his game but when he's off it, he is just awful. He was that bad yesterday i couldn't believe myself when i started shouting for Kuqi to come on, and i do not rate Kuqi the slightest bit. Bring back Derbyshire and give him a run out in the last two games as a win on Wednesday and West Ham losing today pretty much guarentees us 6th place.
  3. Well i did say that 4th place was only a dream and it looks like it is going to be that way now. We could and it was a big could hae got 4th place from under Spuds nose but its not going to count anyway cause Arsenal will win the CL and finish 5th. If we hang onto 6th place it would have been a glorious season for us considering we have been fighting relegation over the past few years, i remember when i first started posting on this board and we were all doom and gloom because we were fighting for our lives with the likes of Leicester City down the foot of the table. But now we are in the top half of the season and for the majority of the playing time we've seen this season, we have played some excelent football and if it weren't for some dodgy decisions this season we could be higher up in the league e.g. Cisse offside/Keane handball/Keane-Rovers throw in not spuds. But then again we have had the rub of the green as well, Pedersen's handball at the barcodes to ruin the man who signed him Sourpuss, Lucas Neills GBH on John Filian. 6th place for any team in the league thats not one of the big four is an excellent achievement in league that barring the top four is quite competitive simply because there isn't much in terms of quality between the teams.
  4. Should Dunny come home? Answer NO. Just look at today he has come off in the first half again injured. He is a liability.
  5. Screw job thats all i am going to say on that.
  6. I apologise if this isn't up to scratch as i have been ill all week but that is no excuse hope somebody enjoys reading it lol. Well after Saturdays results all going against Rovers challenge for 4th place in the F.A. Barclays Premiership, it makes every single match from here until the end of the season a must win match, and with that it brings us to this match. Blackburn Rovers Vs Birmingham City Now as all of us fans know we do not like Birmingham City, not only because of the Savage deal but to do with the fact that their management and fans seem to believe that they have a divine right to be a big club. But we do have a lot to be thankful to the so called ‘Big Club’ as they have an habit of signing our what I could only describe as rejects with the exception of Dunny, examples of these would be ‘Tim Nice But Dim’ Martin ’Tiny’ Taylor, Damien Johnson, Dwight Yorke and Alex Bruce who so far has looked shocking when he has played for them. To think we got 5 million for Dunn with his injuries I think that it proves that at Birmingham, their owners aren’t the smartest when it comes to funding transfers. Well after that little tirade against the Brum, back to the match. Both sides will be coming off a match on the Sunday with both sides needing a win at the weekend. Birmingham finds themselves away at their biggest rivals in football…Aston Villa. The game at Villa could in a way dictate the way that the match on Wednesday night goes, should Brum defeat their rivals it will do wonders for their low confidence levels and it could end up being like the Pompey match as Birmingham haven’t lost in the their last three matches and have defeated notloB in that time. Should Villa somehow find some backbone and put in a performance for once it may be the final nail in the Brum coffin as a defeat in such a valuable Midlands derby should end up draining whatever confidence the Brum players had left from them. But either way we could be facing a backlash come Wednesday night and the lads must be aware of that. As for our own team, well we haven’t been playing well of late to say the least. We have ground out results in our last few games and if it wasn’t for the magician that is Craig Bellamy and Brad Friedel last week at Fratton Park we could have been 8 points behind Spurs for 4th place instead of the current 7 point gap. Previous performances versus Wigan and Sunderland prior were far from impressive and showed none of the flair and passion that we have been playing with for most of this season, lets hope for an upturn in fortunes for Rovers when they play Liverpool on Sunday afternoon and for the game versus Brum on Wednesday. Key Players Birmingham City (Squad Numbers) 1. Maik Taylor-On his day he can be a very good keeper but on others he can be absolutely shocking. 7. Jermaine Pennant-Everything from the flanks comes from his right flank-provides all the service for their strikers in an aerial sense and will be looking to find either Heskey or Sutton should he be fit to play. 16. Emile Heskey -No matter how low of an opinion I have of the guy, he does have an habit of scoring against us especially when he were playing for Liverpool although I do remember Brad pulling off a good save from a penalty from him at Ewood Park in the League Cup in the 2003/2004 3-4 defeat to the Reds. Many fans may remember that game for a rare goal from ‘Homesick’ ‘Mummy’s Boy’ Barry Ferguson. Heskey, an ex England international and goal scorer will be a threat to our CL aspirations even if he is running low on confidence. He has also been linked with a move to us for next season numerous times in the British rags. Emile Heskey Jermaine Pennant lol Birmingham City Facts •The Brum were formed as a club known as Small Heath Alliance in the same year as we were formed in 1875 •They have lost in play-off finals three times before they were promoted after a play-off final win versus Norwich City in 2002 •There first ground was called Muntz Street and was rented by the then owners for £5 a year. •They turned professional in 1888. •Birmingham City were the first club to adopt limited liability which simply means that if the club were to fold I believe that all that can be seized to pay off debts is the clubs property and none of the owners personal belongings such as cars and houses etc as long they are not club property. This was in 1889. •In the 1962/1963 season they had a cup time postponed no more than 16 times versus Bury due water-logged pitches, coaches not turning up and torrential snow of all things. Previous Matches between Rovers and Birmingham City 22/10/2005-Blackburn Rovers versus Birmingham City-Home Win- 2-0 30/05/2005-Birmingham City versus Blackburn Rovers-Home Win-2-1 21/11/2004-Blackburn Rovers versus Birmingham City-Draw- 3-3 15/05/2004-Blackburn Rovers versus Birmingham City-Draw- 1-1 06/12/2003-Birmingham City versus Blackburn Rovers-Away Win- 0-4 18/01/2003-Blackburn Rovers versus Birmingham City-Draw- 1-1 24/08/2002-Birmingham City versus Blackburn Rovers-Away Win-0-1 Form Guide (Last Six Matches) Birmingham City DLLDWD Blackburn Rovers LWWWDD Now if I knew anyone who supported the ‘big’ club I would have done a Q+A for you guys but I don’t and I didn’t want to risk getting abused on the Brum message board as they don’t seem to like us for some reason lol. Prediction Birmingham City 0-2 Blackburn Rovers I’ll leave you guys to speculate the rest!!!
  7. Voted for Bellers simply becasue his goals have provided me with such joy this season, he is a cut above the rest. but Nelsen, Neill, Reid and Brad aren't too far behind in my opinion as they have all played really really well this campaign.
  8. Pompey won't let them win, i think that they have a good chance against the Arsenal tonight, they are full of confidence at the moment and are Arsenal are without Francesc Fabrigas (Sp) and he seems to run the show from the centre of the field for them. With Pompey's twelth man being there-the crowd they could maybe steal a late winner.
  9. I'm more than up for, poker has pretty much funded my education. I am a poker beast lol.
  10. He could have played against us a friendly lol scored own goals against gers, rovers, spuds and hearts. I'll shut up i think.
  11. I gone with MGP versus Fulham because it was just a beast, he struck it with such venom from such a narrow angle. If i could have voted twice i would have given Tugay it as well, as that was superb goal.
  12. Rovers 1 Liverpool 4 We normally get a spanking off them at least once a season lol.
  13. Just forget the CL guys, we are not good enough, its a year too early IMO. Were a very average side that has a world-class striker to bail us out when things go tits up. MGP has been shocking recently, it looks like all the speculation over his future has got to him. Is he as good as well all think he is, yes he's a good player, scored a lot of goals, but whats he done of late. Sweet F.A since he scored versus Arsenal. As for Dickov somebody just rip his contract up, he was dire. What has Pongo done to p!ss Sparky off, he should have featured in the last two matches.
  14. All i am going to say is "Champions League, Your 'avin laugh"
  15. But if Boro win the Uefa Cup and get to the F.A Cup Final then seventh place will get the Uefa Cup spot still won't it?
  16. We were shocking last night, it was like watching Souness over again for some parts. the lads looked worried, paniced when they had possession. Savage played liek Lilly Savage and as for Dickov he might as well have stayed at home. Pongo should have played instead of him but there a whole thread dedicated to that so i shall not go any further with that point. Nelsen earnt his moneylast night for sure and his bit of defending that led to their corner which they scored from was superb. He is in a class of his own. Gray played well but i am getting fed up of him running with the ball inside when he gets forward. He runs down the wing, see's a defender and then runs into the middle of the pitch instead of trying to beat the man. Brad also pulled off a very instinctive save which to me shows how valuable he is to us, as Enks wouldn't have made that save. IMO it was two points dropped as i had us down as winning that match but in terms of the performance we were lucky to even get a point, barring the first ten mins and the last ten mins, were we could have run riot.
  17. In fact just kick him out of the reserves and i'll pay for his flight back to italy.
  18. Wigan will bring more fans than 1400, even if the game is a Sky game. It's a big game for them as well as us, They need the points to keep their season going, they believe that they are still in the Uefa Cup race which mathematically is true.
  19. I just hate all of ITV, their sports coverage is poor, very poor, the commentators are sh!te. Who gives David Pleat a job as a colour commentator? As for Andy Gray i do not mind him, he can be quite interesting sometimes and i don't mind Alan Parry (Please don't mistake him for Mike 'Porky' Parry lol) i think those two together are a better combination than Gray & Tyler. Oooh and John Barnes on FIVE is a disgrace, who gave him a job? He has about as much charisma as my little finger, a boring bloke, he is very wooden. Barnes=great player-crap pundit
  20. We need him to sign really before the World Cup, if he leaves it until after he gets back and he has a excellent WC we could be losing him ery easily to a big club without getting a good fee for him.
  21. If you saw the way Hull City play week in week out, you would scream at the thought of him managing the senior national side. A lot of my mates at sixth form are all season ticket holders there and they all tell me he is such a negative manager, isn't a fan of attacking football and plays a very defensive smash and grab game. They did it that way to get two successive promotions from divisions they should have never been in. Adam Pearson is the man that has got City were they are, his money has done it, not Taylor's managerial skills. There is a large contingent of Hull City fans that want Taylor sacked and my opinion is if you are not good enough for Hull City, your definately not god enough for England.
  22. Juventus were a disgrace lastnight, they played crap football, showed no creativity and should have lost by more than two goals. I do not want Arsenal to win the CL for sure, should we somehow finish fourth and they win the CL were all going to be angry Rovers fans. !!!!!!!!!Come on Barcelona!!!!!!!!!
  23. I'll be getting a season ticket, i'll be at Univeristy at Bolton then and should be able to drive by then, if not theres always a train. I think i'll get one in the JW Stand, the price won't be an issue for me then, i've been saving up for the last year for it.
  24. I hope he signs, there is not another right back in the Premiership that can compare with him, he's a top player and players like him we need to keep to reach the next level.
  25. I have been through six ipods over the last twelve month but Dixons have bee great with me returning it everytime without any problems. Apple are a bloody joke!!!
