  1. Hate this regime, as much as I do, I don't think it's quite fair to depict Rovers, as stringing out the deal, when fcking Ipswich are just trying to low-ball us.
  2. Exactly..that was my own reaction last year. Fat, Geordie bastard?
  3. Loud and proud on TV.."Stevie Waggott, get out of our club!" Personally, though, I think this chant is a little too polite...
  4. Well, I am certainly convinced of your central point: the only way to preserve the long term health of the club is for the owners to go. Fourteen years of crap makes that abundantly clear to me. Also, I do worry about what child protection workers call "start again syndrome." The term is used to describe the over optimistic desire to ‘start again’ or ‘view the case with fresh eyes.’ This results in poor analysis of past history and parenting capacity. Interventions are tried again and again, with the absence of critical reflection as to whether outcomes are actually changing for the child. Enough is enough imo....
  5. No chair? Well, what was Andy Bayes doing with the mic? I witnessed this at least twice... Anyway, all this talk about communication may be a mere distraction. It reminds me of politicians trying to focus on the problem of "presentation", when the real issue is their policy and behaviour. Venky's and their representatives need to change their behaviour, run the club better...or (preferably) just fuck off!
  6. But it is getting the space for someone to pursue the follow up questions, though, isn't it... All too often, Andy Bayes ( is it still him?)will chair the discussion and switch to another question on a completely different subject ..about meat and potato pies or something...Or, worse still, Bayes will read out a list of questions, jumbled together. I really needs one or two people, working together, with the mandate to pursue a question through all the obfuscation..
  7. Yes. This is the awful thing about the Raya add-ons...A Premier League club with all its riches, dragging out the payments over several years...
  8. Getting access to Suhail is a very important step. I am quite prepared to give WATR time and space to engage with him. Obviously, the first steps in this process must be handled carefully. I certainly won't be nitpicking, just because we didn't hear about the meeting beforehand. As ever, though, WATR will have to remain mindful that this is still a "non trust situation". I am sure WATR will be alive to what is in it for Suhail against genuine positive outcomes in the running of the club.
  9. Do you think the recent signings actually signal a desire to get the club back to the premier league?
  10. For me this is about walking a strategic tightrope. I do think the Trust needs to be very careful about openly endorsing the protests. However, the business of being a critical friend is not without its own dangers for those fans, who give up their time and energy. Waggott et al will obviously have their own agenda to utilise the Trust to garner "credibility" with the fanbase... Hence, the Sinn Fein/IRA analogy lol...
  11. Hmm..You could almost think it was deliberate plan to relegate us to the second tier, so that the academy could make up half the first team..
  12. Agree totally. Out him! Suhail the snake... How has he managed to stay hidden so long in the undergrowth?
  13. I agree with the sentiment, but I have reached the conclusion that we would need to work smart i.e. most reward for least graft. In my view, the marches never get enough people and the noise will never reach India. I think some of the most impactful things have been the banners over key bridges on significant dates, which generated TV discussion and on line stuff. I do think that the increase in TV matches should provide opportunities, but we would have to have to work clever with a combination of planned and organic protests. An obvious problem would be the reluctance of many fans to put added pressure on a struggling team during the actual games. I am not the first to say this, but it would be good to give the Raos a war (or, at least, some negative publicity) at home in India. However, one significant barrier seems to be unwillingness in the Indian media...
  14. Ouch! David Dein..what a slimy, greasy arrogant turd!
  15. Not really. The poster is merely articulating his disappointment at the lack of loyalty to the club that nurtured him. Meanwhile, I suppose you are hoping for him to be a shining star, earning mega bucks..( I am hoping Rothwell gets into the England team and that Boris Johnson gets a knighthood...)
  16. "Dies IraC "lol. I can vouch for you.. I have been at several meetings, which you have flown back to attend!
  17. Cicero says no! The cost cutting nearly took us down last year. Further weakening a poor squad has been executed before by these charlatans. Twice, it cost us our league status. Hence, the remarks about deliberate relegation. There are not enough goals in this team. The defence needs strengthening and we need more creativity in the team.
