  1. My Season Ticket was £299 in 1995/96. It was £435 in 2004/05 45% increase.
  2. Hughesy, That ban already exists, it is ILLEGAL to show for public broadcast any match which kicks off at 3pm on a Saturday, yet if I want to know I know of at least 20 places I could go and watch virtually all matches.
  3. There is a school of thought that Liverpool monumentally cocked up and did not request the 15th April to be kept free, I clearly have no insider information to confirm that to be the case or otherwise. What I do know... Liverpool asked Rovers to move the kick off, we complied and Sky picked up on this and agreed to give us the 5.15 tv slot as well (£160k in the bank thank you very much - the £450k fee is for non ppv matches). Most sensible Liverpool fans have accepted this as a compromise, their original reason for moving the game was to allow them to attend the memorial and the match, which they now can. Some of them are being, erm, slightly difficult (was that polite enough). Bear in mind that I am wholely supportive of their campaign, and anyone who has ever noticed will know I wear one of the HCJ bands on my wrist. Enough is enough, JG please put your friend right, this is NOT any fault of BRFC.
  4. So, apart from a trophy count as long as your arm, being the brawn behind the evil genius that is Dean Saunders AND having £3m in the bank... What has Graeme Souness ever achieved in his career?
  5. But bob, tell me, other than the list of things up there. What EXACTLY has Souness achieved in his laughable career?
  6. How many of the usual price concessions would there have been?
  7. Well, my lad is coming again to the Boro match, after not coming to the Villa match. I just hope his 100% record continues.
  8. Was there a schools event on? I am still convinced that they do not include those people in the Darwen End, there was never 9000 empty seats in that ground.
  9. Savage doesnt achieve anything? You are kidding arent you? best case? If that is best case Id hate to see it when you were feeling pessimistic!
  10. The Bolton scheme costs £30 but it effectively freezes the price of each match at Category C prices. So saving £3 £4 and £10 on B, A, and A+ respectively. http://www.bwfc.premiumtv.co.uk/page/Match...0,,1004,00.html United's scheme costs £26 and saves a flat £5 on all ticket prices.
  11. In reality 7th is likely to result in UEFA qualification.. Hers hoping for the current top 6 to do well, for more reasons that one!
  12. isnt a professional foul a red card?
  13. Enjoy it. did you not know you were going when you posted that you "didnt know when my next game is" in the wee small hours?
  14. Derbyshire scores equaliser again for Wrexham.
  15. I trust you are going to this game tomorrow Eddie. Being a local one for you?
  16. Match has been postponed because of "driving snow and freezing temperatures for weeks" Must be a microclimate at deepdale. This week has been "a bit cold, with a little bit of snow yesterday afternoon"
  17. I think it is a great idea, yes there were complaints when bolton and man utd did it, but none of them were upheld. An extra fiver from 8k mancs and scosuers every year is nigh on £100k. Also reminds of the charlton scheme where the away fans are charged the same rate as charlton fans were charged, it has a negligible impact on the home fans because the covered end is 95% season ticket holders. I think the principle is a good idea, but perhaps not necessarily the amounts.
  18. How is that a conspiracy post? I make it nailed on. Are the family trustees?
  19. But what would Jack have put in the deed. The trust are likely to have a huge windfall in the not too distant future with the likelihood of flybmi being sold off to the bighest bidder. Are they liquidating the assets?
  20. I suspect this stems from the Telegraph story, which was poor at best, so this is simply copying a crap article.
  21. On a singular basis, yes. It would seem to make sense. The danger is substitution. With moveable kick off times, with the fact that many many season ticket holders dont manage to get toall the games for one and another reason if there was a 10 match package over the season they might not buy a ST, similarly for a 5 match "package". Initially I was a great supporter of the idea of bundling, but having heard concerns from several sources I am not so sure. I like the idea of doubling (eg Cat A and Cat in the BBE Lower for a combined price of £50 rather than £57) - and I apologise if my additions is wrong, God knows what match day prices are now!
  22. I think Paul meant buy individual match tickets for the six games rather than expecting a tailor made product (which if offered would potentially dangerously undervalue the season ticket)
  23. Pretty much, yes.
