  1. Gary Harkins has just equalised for Blackpool against Chesterfield.
  2. ROVERS: Friedel, Neill, Todd, Nelsen, Gray, Emerton, Reid, Savage, Pedersen, Kuqi, Bellamy. Subs: Enckelman, Khizanishvili, Mokoena, Thompson, Dickov.
  3. The police wanted to put the case forward, the CPS declined due to "insufficient evidence". EDIT - Didnt make sense!
  4. No. Well, not on Saturday. I am on Wednesday - so are you
  5. The spent in the region of 1.3m this summer. 800k on Bangoura iirc
  6. because we win enough games to be there. Including one at that place you call "home". Remember...?
  7. Home I think would be better. To be honest, where we have an email address we are trying to communicate with those individuals via email anyway for things like newsletters and canvassing opinion etc, in order to not be spending the fiver membership on postage alone!
  8. Its not racist at all, just a factual observation.
  9. It appears that if we are relying on the Everton lot to fill the Darwen End to push up our average attendances we will be disappointed. 2600 sold as of Saturday.
  10. I am under the impression both of those have already happened? Certainly from my understanding of comments above.
  11. That was my concern dave initially, but having spent a little time chatting to Mark Longden at the launch night he couldn't enthuse enough about it. One of the big things he talked about was support, some of these folks have been doing it for years, others have just taken the reigns from the predecessors etc. Anyway Im waffling. Peer support was something he mentioned, through mediums such as the FSF we have, on tap, a network of advice from other supporters. Possibly something we could get elsewhere without the FSF, but not as easily.
  12. Not to mention the contents of the trophy cabinet....
  13. His brother is currently on trial for murder.
  14. Neither named in the squad.
  15. It always amuses me the Vinjay finds it perfectly acceptable to hijack every other thread with his repetitive hypocritical spiel (dont disagree with the club, keep in line), yet if someone posts something he doesnt like he has kittens.
  16. The figure generally banded about is 25%, although 50% got mentioned once upon a time. Who knows1!
  17. We didnt get 30,000 - well only when the awayers brought 8000!
  18. Me equally. In fact its enough to lower the attendance further!
  19. You volunteering cletus?
  20. Without dreams there is no reality.....
  21. Philip, I agree with all of that. But the vast majority of fans arent aware!
  22. I quite agree, and would go one step further in fact, any of our clubs "top dogs" simply arent recognisable, for someone who is the Chief Executive of one of the only clubs to win the league JW is fairly anonymous amongst our own fans, never mind the wider footballing audience. This, to me, points to a lack of clear communication from the club. Other than the odd rare interview on sky there is nothing. I do believe this is something the club recognise finally with recent "public appearances" (in inverted commas as I hate the phrase but cant think of anything more apt!).
  23. OR, 1, There is no new information to be provided, we know that the owners of the club are the "Jack Walker BRFC Jersey Settlement" (or whatever it is called!) 2, I think the point was that in order to make the most progress focussing on the "will not happen" issues which will probably end up in stalemate. The standing issue was mentioned as it was not something BRFC could implement without national level support (hence the agenda item on joining the FSF) 3, I must admit I certainly didnt get that impression from him. He seemed to genuinely care about the club and the fans and wanted to drive the club forward. But that is just a personal observation. I thought that for a meeting with no formal objectives, simply to suffice as an introduction, it was fairly positive.
  24. Blackburn Rovers should actually care firstly and foremostly for their playing staff, now, if Mr Hughes decides that loaning a reserve teamer out to a lower league team would be good for Gary Harkins, that is good for BRFC. God, we cant lend an ex player's old team a current reserve player, but we can lend the Dingles a few?! Nice!!
  25. Isnt bi monthly every other month? That what was agreed anyway Rev.
