  1. Rev, I havnt got an attitude, its merely observing from an "external" point of view. One which is different to yours. There simply are not comparisons to be drawn between BRISA and the FF. One was set up by the fans, one was set up by the club, they started differently and they progress differently. If we disagree, we disagree. Thats fine, I disagree with lots of people!
  2. I think that is a cracking idea. It needn't be limited to overseas either.
  3. The Fans Forum meet bi monthly? The fans forum are an open and representative body for the fans? I really struggle to find any similarities, from an outsiders perspective the fans forum seems really to be a special club, example being.. "oh yes, weve seen the new kit, but we cant tell you" and BRISA is secret squirrel? There is naturally a place for both organisations, but there are few comparisons to be drawn (in my humble opinion naturally).
  4. I dont get you Rev, Full minutes of every meeting, open/committee and with the club published on the internet. Publication of Agenda's for future meetings on a number of websites. Full public access to who is/has been involved, what their remit is, contact details etc No restriction on who can contribute ideas and input to the decision making process The rationale behind having it "members only" only came about after various options were discussed - including; making it visible to all but only granting members the ability to post, giving anyone the ability to post (including anonymous posters) we decided to see how it went initially and respond to any feedback we received in due course. The jury is well and truly still out on what format (if any) it will take in the long term.
  5. There is a BRISA messageboard available for members at www.roversisa.co.uk We are currently using a number of mediums to communicate with fans as we launch, with brfcs being one of them.
  6. The current seasons figure is a little (read "a lot") unfair though. The other seasons include 25k plus attendance in the matches v Everton, Liverpool, Man Utd, Chelsea, Arsenal. If for each of those games we get 26k on (wishful thinking) the average goes up to well over 22k.
  7. Out of interest Vinjay, what purpose would a supporters association organised by the club have? And how does your "do not oppose the club at any costs" stance fit in with your stance on the Walker Trust which you have made one or two references to in the past? The two views seem to sit slightly ill at ease to be honest.
  8. EIT, You are spot on, as said earlier by someone (perhaps not in a reply to yourself, or even at all!) one of the ideas suggested by the people who came to the opening night. And I should clarify that it was these people who suggested what BRISA's priorities should be. was that information needed gathering as to why people didnt go to Ewood. That is obviously not something BRISA members will be able to answer in the main, however we do intend to have a damn good bash at finding out.
  9. EIT, You are 100% spot on in most of what you say. Apart from the last paragraph. There are people who got this thing off the ground who do not want to stand for the committee at the first round of elections (at least 2). A number of the people on the committee also dont want to put themselves "in the limelight". Yes there are some of the more opinionated posters on the board, but there are also some less so. From a personal point of view I am happy to take criticisms on board, what I hate to see happening in any walk of life is people who sit on the sidelines happy to heckle and criticise, but without offering any better solutions.
  10. http://www.thisislancashire.co.uk/lancashi...rt/ROVERS1.html LET Article on BRISA at the weekend.
  11. Aggy I did answer the question, as did den, albeit in different ways. Our members are the information point, the conduit if you like, how BRISA gets information, ideas, etc. Those are highly likely to be the same as the majority of Rovers fans in one way or another. If you are so keen on what BRISA is trying to do perhaps youd like to join and become a committee member, thursday evening this week at the waters edge, 8pm. If I was there I'd even buy you a drink.
  12. There is not conflict of interests. BRISA will know how its members feel about issues through wide ranging consultation both in person, via the internet and via other mediums (eg the postal service). Given that BRISA already has a wide ranging group of members accross local/national and international boundaries it will represent supporters everywhere. Naturally, there will be clear patterns between BRISA members views and non members views.
  13. He went on loan to Ipswich and to Cardiff, but signed permanently for Wigan directly from us.
  14. BRISA acts in the way its paid up members wants it to act.
  15. £4m in the summer, plus writing off £14m of debt. Hardly in Blackpool's league....
  16. My understanding (such as it is) is that hospitality areas are subject to a slight variation on the regulations covering appropriate behaviour. Although being a poor working man I cant afford such luxuries.
  17. Its a breach of the ground regulations. Therefore ejection is the result, no refund.
  18. Constructive dismissal. More compensation than just standard dismissal!
  19. Apparently JW said something at the Ewood Blues event last night about more tickets being obtained. He might want to tell the ticket office!
  20. It will be the old 1700 sale or return, or 3000 pay up front and in full, non returnable. We may get allocated more tickets, but the ticket office need to be aware that there is still demand for the tickets, make sure if you havnt got a ticket but want one you ring up and ask about more. They might not do anything, but on the other hand, the might well be able to negotiate some more.
  21. aIsnt this the third consecutive year its sold out?
  22. 19468. I make that 7652 higher than the average of 11816 at the Dingledome.
  23. Third time lucky, from £150 in the JW Outer Wingy thingy.
  24. I might be wrong. It has been known! I heard that Sky "fine" establishments rather than take them to court over the matters, for a large pub it is alledged that they act as no deterent to the trade they get in for a big game. But that is purely hearsay.
