  1. How do you know that Stuart? I hate to admit this but I have a gooner friend Hes been told they arent selling tickets in the West Stand until the other areas sell out, which they havn't.
  2. Just spoken to the ticket office and gthe club will NOT be putting tickets on the West Stand on sale at all. That means no more £25 / £35 available. And also that we are unlikely to take more than 15000 fans. Arsenal are in a very similar situation.
  3. So they get to "cherry pick" the seats they want rather than get stuck in the corner on the top tier?
  4. Sod them, as come the final it should be those who have made 3 trips to Cardiff in this run. namely ME ...and me!
  5. Having seen some of the silly fines the FA ddish out to clubs aty lower levels who dont comply with the silly fa cup rules in the qualifying round, i dont think it is that simple. Which is a shame really. Although what the FA intend to do with all the empty seats that us and Arsenal give them back I dont quite know.
  6. What precisely could the club do? Whilst still ensuring the sell the tickets in the way the FA have enforced?
  7. your not telling me the ticket office cannot sell all the £25 tickets it's blatentley ripping the fans off,how come they sold all the family stand at once? Its all in the booklet, the FA actually wanted the club to ONLY sell the tickets in the BT stand first then move into the North Stand. However it was agreed that fans may want to sit behind the goal - therefore when they went on sale only the North Stand (upper and lower) and the BT Stand went on sale. The club has to sell the North Stand tickets in the specificed order, ie the side nearest the BT Stand first then moving accross. Ridiculous it may be, but so is the game being in Cardiff, and so is the kick off time, so dont expect the FA to have any common sense about this either.
  8. Unfortunately thats the way the FA INSIST on it being sold - Arsenal are in the same boat as they dont expect to sell out. Newcastle and United have been able to sell the full allocations so it didnt matter to them...
  9. The ticket prices for all 4 clubs are identical. To suggest otherwise is bordering on ridiculous. Man Utd have 6000 left at 45 and 55 http://www.manutd.com/news/fullstory.sps?i...0&icategoryid=0
  10. Tis under 7000 people going on coaches. Wouldnt be far wrong given the lack of other available transport. And they may have been booked, not necessarily filled.
  11. That is the case Scotty - they didnt bother to tell everyone who qued on Friday mornign though. The people in front of me werent happy when, after 3 hours in a que, they were told they had to make a postal application. AND pay £4 for the priviledge.
  12. n3 for me.
  13. Well, you know it will take a few days for the tickets to come to sweden and "if" they get lost its might be to late to book flights and hotels in cardiff...... Robin wait a few days for the initial rush to die down and ring the ticket office. By all accounts they are very helpful in these situations.
  14. Was there at 6am this morning and about fiftieth in the que. There was more than 200 though. Went all the way down one side of the concourse and half way back up the other by the time i got served at 9.15. Im knackered though!
  15. £269, each return.
  16. http://www.south-wales.org.uk/southwales/c...ants_pubs.shtml Looks like plenty of food and booze on offer........
  17. Still guaging interest. Ill let you know by this weekend, there is a pinned thread on it.
  18. Thats ben, roversismylife. Hes fine, his train comes down into Cardiff, not across from Bristol!
  19. a) It will be impossible to get their on the train on the Saturday. A LITTLE longer, I doubt that very much, the replacement buses never run at the same times as the trains they replace, and they too will be caught up in the traffic trying to get over the Severn Bridge. PLUS they will stop at all stations to cardiff on the way. Forget that one. On the national rail map there are two lines from Bristol to Cardiff. the line from Bristol Temple Meads to Cardiff is rail replacement buses, and the line from Bristol Parkway to Cardiff is trains!!! So chill No the info pages on the web havnt been updated. Both stations are affected and have no trains to Cardiff all weekend.
  20. Anyone interesting in joining a bus service from Bristol direct to the Mill Stad? Ive got a quote for a 49 seater - if we fill it it will be less than a tenner each, leaving Bristol at approx 9.30 (to arrive in Cardiff by 1030) and leaving Cardiff at 4pm (to arrive back at 5). PM me if you are interested with details of how many seats you would want, and Ill confirm early next week if its do-able.... Exact pick up point to be confirmed..... EDIT - Just to confirm that I just need an idea of whetehr youd be interested, Ill be asking for full payment about a fortnight before the game so I dont lose money! Pick up likely to be Temple Mead Railway Station or thereabouts. Cost will be total hire cost divided by number of people.
  21. Flopsy, Im not saying it is their fault. Im saying they dont actually know between them that there is engineerign work. One company says there is One company says there isnt The Information on the website is unclear and out of date National Rail Enquriies dont appear to know.....
  22. Im still waiting for my promised call backs from both companies. Our clubs do seem pretty sure though, its on both clubs website. Shame our national rail network and companies couldnt organise a ###### up in a brewery.
  23. National Rail Eqnuiries are clueless. The train is not running at all from Bristol Westwards. There is a bus replacement service from Bristol stations to Newport, then train in. Its likely to add at least 40mins to the journey. Not to mention the fact that there will be hundreds of people wanting to get on a bus that seats 50
  24. How you gonna get from Bristol? Bloody train line is definitely closed!! Gits.
  25. Isnt the train running from Bristol Parkway anyway? Apparently its on a different line. Although National rail know nothing about this closure.
