  1. There is indeed Ben, However it goes through all the exec suites in the Jack Walker stand. And then through a 'service area' in the Darwen End before coming out right on the far side of the Darwen End next to the radio station.
  2. Yo really think they'll be able to cope if the pubs are closed close to the ground? They can't cope at the best of times. Doubt it will be the best option unless you get on early and get a couple of those pint and halvers Ill have em lined up come 630!
  3. And I managed to get them as soon as they want on sale as well. Does that make me lucky?
  4. 5000 is a lot? How precisely is it? tickets have been on sale for how long? 3 and a half days. Thats 25 hours the ticket office has been open. All the time there has been people staffing the windows and on the phones, I dont think it would be physically possible for the 8/10 or however many ticket office staff to sell anymore. In 25 hours they have sold 17,000 tickets. Most of our league games go on sale weeks before and we only sell that many tickets (in total - including 11/12k season tickets). Theyve done good. If they carry on at this rate they will be sold by Sunday.
  5. Burnley Sold Out http://www.burnleyfootballclub.premiumtv.c...~631923,00.html This was posted at 8am. Being reported now that Sold Out.....
  6. Mum - most job descriptions these days have the lovely catch all - "any other duties as required by management" But agree entiorely with the rest of your post. The Ticket Office staff deserve a pat on the back for their hard work on this. Selling 23000 tickets in less than a week is no mean feat (presuming we sell out). At some point an update would be good from the club, to encourage those people who havnt yet got tickets that they are still available, and perhaps where they are.
  7. As I said, I stand corrected if that is the case. Still cant understand why the Darwen End Lounge cant be used. There are plenty of ways in. But anyway its been decided by the club and communicated to those who could be arsed finding out and frankly there are bigger fish to fry.
  8. Whether he is cup tied or not is irrelevant, he wasnt eligible for the first leg so cant play in the replay. He is cup tied anyway.
  9. Its an academic argument, but my understanding was that the 500 club was a league match facility. But I stand corrected if one of the resident members can correct me. But Ive found a watering hole now, and I'll be staying drinking in there when Blues decides I am allowed back in.
  10. ..and two of the big car parks at Ewood are closed.
  11. In fairness our "first delivery" only arrives at 3pm. Plenty of extra time to sort it!
  12. Ozz Varies depending on the pub. I know that Brown Cow, Ewood Arms and one or two others are definitely open, albeit with restrictions. The concourse areas are also opening early - Id like to think that this is the clubs attempt to facilitate our beer habits. However they might put it down to "safety".
  13. The club will be making around 2p per minute per call.
  14. Tickets ordered Tuesday morning, delivered today.
  15. BC is, I rang earlier - only to ticket holders in the home sections. He will be checking apparently.
  16. ID to think this is due to my email to Miriam last night..... But I doubt it.
  17. Can I borrow your brown paper bag to make myself look authentic.....
  18. Im starting to get a little bit peed off at the level at rational posting on this board. Its beyond a joke.
  19. Fulfil an obligation it doesnt have? I have a good seat already thanks ;-)
  20. Blues isnt closed on police advcie streaky, its closed to put the 500 club in (who had been told there was no facility for this match)
  21. No, its to prevent smashing And they complain that it isnt busy enough at other times....... Hardly surprised when us pre match regulars get evicted at a whim is it.
  22. This is now confirmed. Ive just rung. She also said that most pubs around the ground will be closed as well. Smashing.
  23. SuperStella, then we'd all be moaning about the five quid booking fee!
  24. I dont think its fair to say the club are not doing everything they can do sell tickets. Having managed to get through on Tuesday and knowing how quickly I was dealt with for my 4 seats they aer working flat out. The biggest issue is ST holders not being able to take their own seat - perhaps the club made the mistake of not giving exclusive purchasing rights to ST holders for even one day. WE could have all got through on Tuesday (those not in the Cup Scheme Tris ) and then the scramble begins. But hindsight is smashing isnt it!
  25. Ive been talking about the 1 and 9 thing for ages Glenn . No one reads it. When I rang yesterday afternoon I was at 63 so I presume they have added extra capacity.
