  1. Number of differences mate. A 5th rnd cup game is far bigger than the league game we playeg with them, so it will defo sell out. As for the Bolton game, i reckon we got within around 50 of selling out, so dont be too harsh. I doubt the tickets at the turd are gonna be £35 a head either are they . More like £25ish, not sure really, maybe longsider 82 could clear that up for us? As for how to sell tickets, its easy. 1.) Away season tickets (goes without saying) 2.) Season Ticket holder 3.) People with stubs from cardiff/c'chester 4.) General sale Is the away season ticket valid for cup games? I would expect this to go to away stubs before general sale to Season tickets. We should be OK - Ive got 3, shes got 2.
  2. This is the key Paul. We have between 5 and 10 THOUSAND empty seats for every game held at the theatre of dreams. If we are going to have that we might as well have a few screaming kids in there, they will enjoy it. And perhaps in years to come become our most partisal and vocal supporters. Hows about for a few games a season those empty seats at the top of the darwen end could be utilised - wouldnt it be nice to have some home fans up there? £5 for adults and £1 for kids? We are all full of ideas between us but for some reason the club either havn't cottoned on or for whatever reason think it isnt worthwhile.
  3. Shame wed have to give the dingles 40 odd percent of them. Burnley away for me. Or Brentford/Hartlepool
  4. If he plays I wont boo him as some others will no doubt, that will only have the effect of unsettling him and the team. If he goes I wont be upset, if he stays we need to ensure he performs and one way of ensuring that he DOESNT is to boo him.
  5. HEs spot on, Lucas has been rubbish for some time, I was hoping that Nelsen would play last night, perhaps give Lucas a bit of a shock by being dropped.
  6. As for booing the chants that a number of people tried to sing at the Cardiff game was "OOooooooooooooooooooh Barry Barry, Barry Barry Barry Barry F*** off home" got a mixed reaction.
  7. I think every kid if different. My eldest is three and a half and there is not way I would take him on Ewood yet - he would be bored and would pi55 me and those lucky enough to sit near me right off. Its not the same now as when I started going at about the same age. I went and played with other kids at the front of the Blackburn End! Didnt pay a blind bit of notice to the footy for years!!!
  8. IF he refused to play, he wouldnt get paid - breach of contract. But I very much doubt it will come to that. I expect Barry to back in Scotland by the end of the week.
  9. It wasnt offensive in the slightest, just a tad repetitive. It appears I got the wrong end of the stick (and that never happens )
  10. I've just gone back and read Dado_Prso's posts and he did not say Rangers would pay the same amount of money as Rovers did in the first place. All he said was that Rangers should pay £4.4m for him of which £2.1m was the outstanding debt. He never implied we would not be making a loss. When he mentioned a 'similar deal' to the one Rovers arranged to buy Ferguson he was talking about putting in extra clauses for Rangers qualifying for the champions league such as 0.5m for every appearance. It's not often we get well reasoned away fans on the board, especially ones that stick around. Sometimes I understand why. a number of posters, including myself, thought that he did. And comments like "how difficult is this" dont help to make a point. I like it when sensible and reasoned other fans come on here. Others dont.
  11. There was no attitude mate. I simply hate repeating the same points over and over, to other users, who seem to have not read previous posts in depth. I still stand by my opinion that if Rovers were to receive a deal worth around £4 million for Ferguson they'd take it, regardless of paying out £6.5 million. For a player who has been average in the Premiership at best, £4 million would be an excellent return in the current football climate. I have no idea what you read as attitude, but trust me, if I'd posted with attitude you would have noticed it! Chill out. The point you were making was incorrect. I think we would accept a deal for 4.5million. But it still gives us a transfer fee loss of 2million. That is the fact.
  12. So now you acknowledge that the numbers you mentioned earlier do in fact lose Rovers a significant amount of money? You appeared to state it didnt earlier. Repeatedly, and with some attitude.
  13. Hey, I've no qualms about you not coming over every fortnight from Sydney but what I'm saying is, in the days when we were flying high we had full houses every home game. Thats not quite how I remember it.... It was certainly better than we get now, but full? Perhaps once or twice a season - when we gave the away fans all the Darwen End!
  14. I'm not really. It's income that I'm more concerned about. Well worry about the league games, we actually get to keep the money from those. At cup games we get less than half!
  15. Just as an aside. ST holders only have until lunchtime on saturday (22nd jan) to claim there own seat. I know its likely there wont be a problem getting tickets, but some people feel like I do about it.
  16. Credit where credit is due on this one. Nice and simple.
  17. That wont be in the contract. Didnt he play for your reserves the other day - just after it was announced to the world that he was going to rot in the reserves for the rest of his contract?
  18. Banter my friend, banter.
  19. Murray confirmed in an interview that it was a TOTAL BID of £3m. ie £440,00o cash plus writing off the £2.56million due in the summer. But Murray was probably lying in that interview as Williams has come out and said that it is less than £2.5 mill that we have left to pay. I am more inclined to belive our chief exec than theirs. I havnt seen Williams say it was less than that - do you have a link? In fact in everythign I have seen Williams has been vague on the money front.
  20. Murray confirmed in an interview that it was a TOTAL BID of £3m. ie £440,00o cash plus writing off the £2.56million due in the summer.
  21. That is our biggest bargaining tool, we have seen the influx of many Rangers fans who are convinced Barry will be joining them next week. Come the 30th January if there is no deal done the pressure will be on Murray to put up, or he could very well face a public outcry.
  22. Hows about....6mill for Ferguson, We'll make it five if you take Amo as well?
  23. Wait for the invasion of Rangers fans
  24. Sorry Flopsy, I juts wasnt aware that employing a mixture of staff from various ethnic origins and of different genders was racist. Im interested in how, in fact, it is. And perhaps as a result of this gentlemans comments I will contact my MP with a view to having the definition of racism (as defined in the RRA of 1976) amended. Or perhaps I wasn't.
  25. What on earth does that mean? Muppet. "Shall we win something for you"
