  1. I went along to Ewood at 2pm on Saturday & queued for a ticket in the Riverside, "...as near to the halfway line, please" i asked. The girl said "How about seat 101 on row 20something?" I said "ok" & went in the ground. The seat was exactly on the halfway line & was a brilliant view! How many clubs in the premier league could you do that at? It just goes to show how far the popularity of the club has slipped in the last few years. £25 for Fulham was a bit steep though.....in my view.
  2. Who knocked in the pin-point cross for MGP`s goal?? From where i was sat, it looked like the Kuqi Monster to me! ....As for Emerton, he was woeful today. He couldn`t skin a milk float!
  3. My thoughts exactly! How many Rovers players actually live in Blackburn? Ace lager.....A fictional lager in VIZ comic. If i remember correctly, it is £1.49 for 8 cans of 'Ace' from the local offy. The character in the comic is always torn between doing his best for his wife & kids or spending £1.49 for 8Ace & getting trolleyed.........the latter always being the winner! class!
  4. Wigan`s 1st home game......Att 23,575 ....over to you Rovers! Game On.....
  5. Without trawling through all the previous pages..... Have the Rovers not thought of press-gangs?? They could trawl the town center on Friday night, WHAM!!! some poor unsuspecting souls on their heads with a cosh & voila!!.....they wake up in the morning, strapped to a plastic seat in the Blackburn End! The 'strapping' could also come in handy incase the game is exciting, as it can be used to keep fans in their seats....thus relieving our over zealous stewards one of their duties.
  6. I bet Reid will get a good reception down at Upton Park....being ex-Millwall & all that! I`m predicting a 0-1 win for the Rovers, with an industrial yet clinical display. West Ham will look like rabbits caught in headlights.
  7. A large part of Liverpool was evacuated today as an 'unusual' item in a parked car was reported to the authorities. Police later confirmed it was a tax disc.
  8. The above poll ^^ has got one interesting option missing.... Don`t have season ticket & not inclined to get one either I know it`s a bit negative, but the thread is about increasing S/T sales. maybe if the club ask people why they are not buying season tickets, they may discover a trend amongst the many fans who just don`t bother......& then they can maybe address the problem.
  9. Wigan.....Manchester United heartland. I think they`ll have a handfull of big gates this coming season.....but nothing too special. Another thing i`m wondering about?? ....who will the pie-eaters be nominating as the club "we`ve always hated, but never been in the same league as them, but can we start a rivalry now, please??" (like we did with Utd in 92 )....coz they`ve got a few to choose from! My money is on Notlob......
  10. Oh, go on then! I`ll have a go at this I`ve entered a team Retro Fettlers F.C Can`t be arsed to put all my players down on here...it`s in the BRFCS league.
  11. ....& let the torture begin!
  12. I think Rovers` attendances will be on average 4000 above Wigans! I`m confident about it. I say take the £50 bet.......it`s easy money! Fair enough, they`ll have some great derby games that`ll fill their away end up (Man Ure, Citeh, Notlob, Neverton, Liverpoo & ).....but we also have all those teams at our place & we can offer them 8k tickets) TAKE THAT BET!!!
  13. Most of the London premiership grounds will be full as usual this season, mainly because its people earn a lot more (on average) than people oop narth & London has a pool of around 7 to 10 million people to draw from. The game is called supply & demand. The more people want tickets, the higher the clubs can hike their prices.
  14. Isn`t hindsight such a brilliant thing? Only the other day, most people i know said "about time too!" when they heard the police had shot a suspected suicide bomber. Now, everyone is slating those same officers. I believe it`s only a matter of time until the police catch the 4 men who tried to bomb London the other day....& when they do catch them, i hope they extract all the information they need with pliers.
  15. **NEWSFLASH** 37 asians found dead in Leeds. Revenge attack ruled out. Police think bunk-bed collapsed. I`ll get me coat.......
  16. Britain....1 Garlic munching surrender monkeys....0 I only hope Jaques Chirac swung it in Londons favour...the arrogant French t####r!!
  17. What we need is an internet timber supplying company to sponsor the club for £millions....can you imagine it? E.Wood would be ideal ,eh?
  18. First of all, people need to know that a new independant supporters group has started up......not just members of this board. Has anybody thought of doing a 'flyer campaign'?? Maybe a 'flyer' handout at the 1st home game of the season? Asking local pubs/clubs if a BRISA poster can be put up? Maybe a business sponsor could help with costs. A 'flyer' doesn`t need to be expensive & trendy, it just needs to get the message across.
  19. Bolton are riding a crest of a wave at the moment, with their best premiership season last term. Also, Bolton is one of the biggest towns (not city) in England with a population of around 300,000.....far bigger than Blackburn. .....Unfortunately, Rovers have been in a bit of a rutt for the last couple of seasons, it is affecting attendances big time! Mark Hughes could do worse than to look at our near rivals & see what Boss Nas has achieved on a shoe-string budget......something which Rovers have to get used to.
  20. oops! my mistake, i clicked on the 1979 option on the poll. After looking up my first Rovers game in the essential history of Blackburn Rovers i found that i`d made a mistake My first game was on Feb 27th 1980 3rd division... Rovers 1 v 1 Exeter city ....Brotherston. att 10,601
  21. ......hmmmmm? Now if only we could organise some collective whinging & maybe put a catchy tune to it, at least it`ll create a bit of atnosphere! Maybe a whingers enclosure.....
  22. I hear that Manchester United are withdrawing the sale of replica Man Utd track-suits. New owner Malcolm Glazer wants to 'rebrand' this profitable line of goods as MANCHESTER UNITED LEISURE* SUITS ( * pronounced LEE-ZEWER) made from the finest electro-static crimplene known to man. sizes will also be 'americanised' & will be as follows:- L...Large XL...Extra Large XXL...Extra Extra Large & FFSHDYWYA...For F###s Sake, How Do You Wipe Your Arse?
  23. Yes. East Lancs does have a large 'ethnic' population. Maybe the club should offer them tickets at exactly the same price as everyone else.
