v Hull City (a) - 19/1/22

We can talk about all night about wrong selections and wrong formations. However you can't play like the Harlem globe trotters every week. I blame that defeat wholly and solely on that disgraceful, cheating, biased ref. He had done his job properly then none of that selection or formation stuff would have mattered. We'd have been 1 each playing 10 men and gone on the win the game. It keeps happening time after time. I'm sick of it. That complete tosser might have cost us promotion. And if he hasn't I'm sure another one of his idiot colleagues will. -
The part that really angers me; Is he only missing the boro game cos it got rearranged to Monday? Or would he have missed it anyway?

4 zip now. Still first half. That escalated quickly..!

No pay on the day for Rovers fans at Hull. One of the most frustrating parts of post shutdown football. This inexplicable lack of being able to buy on the day. Hull's last home game attendance was 11k, in a 25k stadium. No doubt for a mid week game against Rovers it will be similar. There are 15k empty seats in the ground, why can't folk pay on the day ffs? -
Rather annoying how Boro, qpr and Forest types seem to keep scabbing late goals..!

January Transfer window 2022

Saw on a bbc article about newcastle spending that they've been linked with Solanke with the Howe link (sorry if this has already been mentioned previously). That would be a perfect signing! -
Fulham 5 zip up over Reading. The top 2 will be really tough competition!
-
Haha snap, I just said the same in the championship thread. I've watched the goal highlights from every championship game this season. The amount of goals that come from this scenario, that teams like Swansea concede is utterly ridiculous.
-
Just on a side note, watching City vs Swindon in the cup; 2nd goal coming from fannying about with it at the back, then dispossessed leading to a goal. Having seen the highlights from every championship goal this season, it's amazing how many times this happens. Such a ridiculous was to concede a goal. Swansea being at the forefront of this, architects of their own downfall. So glad we don't play in this bs style anymore
-
Very frustrating. Scabbed late goals recently to win games..except the one we would have wanted them too, against bournemouth!
-
I find it amazing that the bottom 3 aren't cut adrift. Watford have lost 6 on the bounce or something otherwise the relegation places would be done already. Looking like 3 from 4 as it is and newcastle will surely spend..
-
Same with wba fans. They beat us so comfortably at Ewood earlier in the season, despite the scoreline it was 2-1 going on 4-1. Must be looking at the table and seeing themselves 4 points behind us thinking wtf happened?!
-
Really excellent victory. In some ways these kind of 3 points are more satisfying then blowing teams away 4-0. We missed a few chances, conceded a really poor and unlucky goal-all the hallmarks for a classic championship upset. Instead we stuck at and got the 3 points. Great to see. Looking forward to Sunday now! Huddersfield play the day after us and also played boxing day, so we should he fresher.
-
Bit of a shame that Boro managed to nick a winner after conceding an injury time equalizer themselves. They're looking in threatening form
-
Draw would be the best result for us here surely?

In the various Rovers Facebook pages I saw a figure of 2600ish as of start of the week. I've seen other figures of 2300-2800 banded about so I guess must be relatively close -
Attendances: A cause for concern
BRFC4EVA replied to SIMON GARNERS 194's topic in Blackburn Rovers Fans Messageboard
I don't always agree with everything you write (and having seen your posts on the politics page I defo don't agree with you there!), but you are absolutely spot on here. It's a slap in the face for all of us who do the right thing, have been vax/booster, wear masks etc. I won't say any more as I don't want another thread to be dominated by covid. -
Good old championship. Utterly crazy division. That's no win in 10 combined now for the top 2 teams in the league. Win on boxing day vs Hull and potentially we go joint top!

Hold on, isn't Dolan the one actually with covid (ie can't be helped). It's the unvaccinated close contacts (can be helped) who you deserve your scorn? -

Attendances: A cause for concern
BRFC4EVA replied to SIMON GARNERS 194's topic in Blackburn Rovers Fans Messageboard
I thought that the ticket prices for Barnsley being cat C/£20 meant that Waggot had finally got the message (yes I realise it is technically a mid week game, but it is during the Christmas festive period so I thought they'd make it a Cat B on that excuse).. But no ol' Swag comes up with another special for Huddersfield. New years day, Rovers going well, decent away support and bang ruins all of that with Cat A prices. Ffs -

Potential for a good do at Hull. Boxing day, big allocation, tickets look like they are £21ish on their website, team is playing well.. -
You're missing the point. We weren't the ones wanking on about attendances all the time. We said to them that if the situation was reversed you'd do the same.. They never believed us, not superior Burnley...now look at them. Home games look half empty, taking the reduced allocation at every away day and not selling out..
-
Exactly this. I remember them going on and on and on about it when our away support dropped in the late 2000s time. 'We'll never be like you, Burnley is a football town'.. I always said to the dingles that if they maintain their position in the prem for a while and the novelty wears off, they'll be the same if not worse. Now look at them. Not to mention away tickets are capped at 30 quid. Alot of ours were 35-50 quid and that was 15 Yeats ago!
-
They have scabbed a fair amount of late goals already this season the basterds
