If this is true then those people should be ashmed of themselves and should be banned from football games for good. They are a disgrace.

We should excellent 'Bounce-back-ability' in that game. So unlucky not to win it at the end, but Birmingham had their chances as well. Excellent game! -

Thank you Tony for everything you've done for the club. It feels like a death to the club. I am totally shocked by this. I wish him luck with everything he decides to do in the future. Good luck Tony. Just read this from a news article and I 100% agree! Parkes never hankered after the limelight or moaned about players or their wages. He was a football man through and through, still in love with the game after all that time and 100% dedicated to Blackburn. Time moves on of course but football fans by necessity sometimes want to live in the past and feel that their club is fully protective of it’s heroes. Although it is dead right that Parkes would not want to be fobbed off with some meaningless new role, the least he deserves is a properly organised testimonial against big opposition and the chance to take the applause of the fans at Ewood Park one last time. Hey guys, just got back from Manchester! I totally loved the game, every minute of it. We deserved to win by more but at the end of the day we got the 3 pts and also put across a really good positive performance. It was the first time ive ever been to Old trafford and all I can say is...WOW!!! It's so big and the views are amazing. I was near the back and the view was great and theres loads of leg room. The atmosphere was great as well and really loud at times. Also Wayne Rooney is fan-bloody-tastic when watching live. His off the ball movement is amazing and when he's on it...well, he's superb. Anyway, i've got a few pictures for you all to check out if you wish! I recently went to The Valley for the Charlton v Southampton game and Charlton always seem to play the ball out to the left to Rommedahl who is VERY fast, however his final ball isn't as good considering the positions he gets into. Although, he does tend to drift out of the game so it could be a good opportunity for Neill to get up to their box to help out the attackers. I think this game will be a classic between two struggling teams looking to make the step up the league. I will go for a 2-1 Blackburn win. Jansen to get the winner....AGAIN -
Good idea - I reckon the good Dr Rich should personally visit every potential member and give them all a big welcoming hug.... wow what service! he's just visited me in Southampton and gave me a hug and a peck on the cheek

Yeah i agree. At the end of the day, the rules are quite easy to find and read and to be honest it doesnt really matter if you PM the rules or not because if they really want to be a good member of this MB then they will quite happily read the guidlines so they know what can and cant be posted. If people get a nice welcome then they will feel more part of the community and might not see this place as just a normal MB where you can just post whatever, but actually feel like you are contributing towards certain discussions and being a part of the group.

I'll think you will find that wherever you will go, you will always have people slagging off the team whether its the official boards or non-official ones. At the end of the day, we are all Rovers fans and have the right to have our own opinions on the club whether we choose to 'slag' them off or just praise them non-stop. If we all shared the same opinions then the messageboards would be dull places to hang around and communicate in! In the last 4-5 years, I felt the official boards have been pretty good in terms of having a community of Rovers fans from around the country as there have been many friends made and lots of meet ups/charity events etc and sometimes it gets undeserved abuse towards it because rival clubs came on the rovers board and caused arguments, which was why the boards were shut down towards the end of last season. Now that the new official site has a brand new messageboard, hopefully the community will once again build up and the messageboard will be more controlled by the admin + moderators due to the improvements made in terms of the features Mods now have, as before all they could really do was delete posts rather than merging, editing, create polls etc. I feel that this messageboard is excellent in how it is run and maybe the only reasons why some topics are becoming 'boring' is because it is approaching the new season and there isnt much Rovers news about at the moment and not much is really happening due to people being on holiday or just taking a break and enjoying the good weather we've had lately (apart from the brief storm we had! ). One thing I felt could have been improved was the welcoming of new members to the site. When I first joined I wrote a lot of posts as there were a lot of topics which I took an interest in but got told off for writing too many posts, which is understandable when people write short one line answers, but when people write good quality answers and get abuse for it, I felt it was uncalled for and quite childish. As soon as the season starts up again and people are meeting each other before games, im sure we will all look back at this thread and think "god! we must have been bored without football!!"

im just gutted. cant really describe how i feel at the moment. I feel the same as i did when we lost to Brazil in the World Cup. I don't think that anyone deserves to be blamed for that performance as we played very good football and really looked threatening at times. Well done lads, better luck next time. Switzerland, beware of the 3 lions. -
wow what a great interview with Timmy and some really good questions asked by all.

Everytime i see Rovers play, i always find the following song really hard to sing along to due to my accent. "Souness's Blue and White Army" Being a Southerner, to me it sounds like: "Souness's Blight Army" and if i ever try to sing it, im saying Blue and White army, yet everyone else has already finished the song as they say it faster than me.
