  1. Need to make some changes up top. Agree about Markanday. Give the lad a chance to impress.
  2. Could be a good game for young Garrett perhaps? Can’t do worse than Buckley and at least shows some aggression. Our midfield have been pitiful. Still think we might win this as we only need one flash of brilliance up top as their defence is nothing to worry about.
  3. Let’s hope Sunderland is a typical Mowbray team that won’t turn up in 2nd half before Tony destroys them with his subs…..only chance to win this
  4. A bit late to the party but a merry Christmas to all BRFC supporters, young and old, negative and positive, native and foreign. Even though I’m not from England Blackburn Rovers will for some weird reason always hold a special place in my heart. One of the absurdities that makes life worth living to be honest. And despite growing negativity (understandable) over the years BRFCS still feels like «home». A big thanks to the admin and mods! Let’s hope for good fortune in the new year that will put bums in seats, increase traffic on BRFCS, and make us attractive enough that someone will take Venkys off our hands! Tomorrow: pub, beer and sound trashing of Mowbrays Sunderland. Cheers and meery christmas all!
  5. Caught myself saying this earlier today...go figure! Have Morocco as my favorites now. Not the popular choice, but an african winner could be the one redeeming factor of this WC. Still hoping England could win this but not looking good.
  6. Really easy to take us out today. Eliminate Hedges, Brittain and Brereton and we have no width or attacking nous. Central midfield is nonexistent so we need our wide players to perform and not be static. And this is my main problem with this and Mowbrays team: too static! What happened to "pass and move"!?!
  7. Such xmas presents for PNE. Almost didn't have to put in any effort as we simply handed it over. Oh My Me I'm glad I have beer!! And that is 4
  8. Great run by Carter, and but still they are closer to a third. Here's hoping though!!
  9. And that is our captain! Feel real bad for Kaminski. Put Ayala on before this gets worse
  10. No changes. Let's hope there at least is a different mentality second half!
  11. Need to make subs and changes to formation at half time. Still possible to beat the odds and get something from this. Not overly optimistic though
  12. Need to get Ayala and Gally on 2nd half. Need some muscles. Too bad we don't have someone to put in midfield
  13. Sack him and put Chaddy and jim2k in charge! Should be entertaining at least
  14. I know most will put the responsibility for this fiasco on the manager, but some of our players needs to have a hard look at themselves at half time. You are allowed to make your own decisions when needed...so..Scott Wharton..for effs sake just boot it upfield!!
  15. Suicidal football from Mola and Wharton. Just waiting for a 2nd.
  16. Once again..this is the first WC since 1982 I have no interest in. Can't wait until the Championship starts up again and meeting Preston. One thing is the obvious violations when it comes to workers and human rights, but a WC in the middle of the season is downright stupid. People think the high-earning stars will perform...why? Bet Guardiola is happy Norway didn't qualify for WC just so Haaland can be rested. Don't care who wins it, don't care who is top scorer... I just don't care enough to put in the effort. I'll probably end up reading updates on this thread..
  17. Probably not the popular opinion, but I think this was more than ok. We're away from home to a recently relegated PL team, our bitter rivals and probably a better squad. Give me 0-0 away and 1-0 at home and I'm more than pleased! Still think we can nick this one though. Think we have better finishing qualities up top. Give Brereton-Diaz one real chance and he'll score. Seems up for it.
