ala de pedro aswell mate. that signing was done months and months ago because it simply does not happen that we can sign a player that quickly. So why did we offer well over the odds for Pedersen if we had already bagged De Pedro? -

That URL is now used for a different story. The one below works Payton in Portugal How did he see the trouble from inside his wardrobe The trouble in portugal is akin to the scene outside jumping jacks every saturday night and not even worth a second look. If people stopped reading the b*llshit articles they wouldn't keep writing them........as for the anti-english, guardianistas at the BBC they have long been a disgrace -

....the mind boggles. It certainly does. The delusion is quite simply jaw-dropping. The Spanish's only real weakness is their massive inferiority complex. The actual personnel are far better as a whole than anything that the hugely dull England can offer: Casillas, Helguera, Marchena, Puyol, Baraja, Joaquin, Vicente, Morientes, Valeron, Etxeberria, Albelda, Torres, Raul! Reyes can't even get in the team. Please try and disregard away all the hype that BBC/ITV are feeding you, this is not a tournament ripe for England's picking. As for your list of 'deficiencies' relating to the other teams; are you sure? Typical sour Irishman -

The Arsenal side weren't exactly ram packed with first teamers, the Boro game was a drab and rather fortunate affair, and the rest were non-prem opposition.........ditto the other season where the biggest side we played was Wigan before Man U Even poor sides can sometimes stumble through rounds........lookm at Bolton this season -

can't be bothered really - and whatever, it doesn't alter the fact that many Rovers fans don't do cup games, unless it's Celtic, or 1/4 finals, semis or finals. What Souness says has fig-all to do with it, it was already the case long before he showed up. Wheter you can be bothered or not when proved wrong is immaterial. I agreee the fans normally only turn out in force for the big cup matches like Liverpool at home (the famous 'Jimmy Hill vs The Ball Girl' Atkins own goal) but I consider UEFA cup matches to be big games and if Souness virtually says "I can't be arsed with it I'm going to play all the numpties out of the reserves" then people aren't going to part with their hard earned cash are they? Especially after the fans creamed themselves over finishing 6th and qualifying for europe only for Souness to put the kybosh on it. PS. I'm not anti-souness in the slightest. I just don't see the point of pushing for a UEFA spot if were not going to take it seriously -

Are you alleging that Souness went into a game of football hoping for defeat !?!?!? If you ever manage to allege it to his face I'd make sure you've got jet-heeled boots on. The guy detests losing with a passion most people save for detesting traffic wardens and garden pests. If he puts a team out to play a game, there is one thing you can be sure of, he believes the team he puts out is good enough to win the game. Maybe so but he did state that he was worried that the UEFA game would hamper our premiership season................cue a gate of 15,000 people who were inspired by Souness' confidence. -

I can go along with that one. I remember John Williams saying at a fans forum about how he would love to be in Man Utd's position which would allow him to charge whatever he wanted for a season ticket as there would always be another mug......erm fan to take the place of someone who was priced out.............disgraceful -

Funnily enough , Lofty was saying the same thing a while ago... Why do they want to get back into Europe when Souness went out of his way to get us knocked out last time? Plus the money to be made from winning the whole shabang is peanuts compared to Premiership TV spondoolies
