I think Sunderland are gone, but the other two spots are wide open, only cause I believe Portsmouth have enough quality players signed to possibly stay up. D'Alessandro is a world class player and he can conjure magic. My dream two to join Sunderland would be Newcastle and Brum. Otherwise Pompey and Brum would do!

Glenn Roeder... Haha the nasty school principal... Alan Shearer in charge seems interesting. Also, yes the next full time boss will have a great squad to choose from overall. Although I dont think Mickey O will stick around and I cant see Shearer playing on next season.
-
Im not happy that he is gone for two reasons: 1. With him in charge, Newcastle were only headed downwards. 2. I dont wish the man ill, as long as Newcastle dont do well

Maybe he means that he hasnt played many games this season...

[Archived] New Sponsorship Deal Confirmed
Bobby G replied to Bing's topic in Football Messageboard Archive
Better but not as good as this seasons, which has been one of my favorites of all time, reminding me of the 94/95 season. -
Whats the latest official news on Bellamy?
-
Well 18,000 roverites were in fact in the stadium last night, and we had our top attendance of the season, if Im not mistaken, at circa 25,000. If only some of the extra people who flooded in last night make it back next time, then we got something going.

[Archived] New Sponsorship Deal Confirmed

Good! No scraping till the summer. Signs of better times that we have signed it in February and its a long-term one. Im going to check out their logo now to see how it will look on our shirt. I hope its not going to be that green and yellow one which I have in mind. PS. How much do you think MGP's presence in our team has influenced their decision? Their logo doesnt get me going though. -
No matter the logic we try to make of it. When the club that you spent most of your career at calls, its difficult to say no. Clubs like Milan, Barcelona, Juve, Man Utd, etc... dont come calling too often and if/when they do, I think ex-players whoever they are will find it difficult to say no. Lets hope its not too soon though.

[Archived] Rovers Foul All The Time - Ferguson
Bobby G replied to jim mk2's topic in Football Messageboard Archive
Also didnt Ferguson forget about the penalty that they were awarded last week against us? In my book Browns hand was much more of a hand with his arms swinging backwards rather than poor Ol' Zurabs!!! -
And they have a good squad that can match most teams around the mid-table mark. I think they have done well this season and that the 4th - 10th positions can switch around any way you can think of between now and the end of the season.
-
Well Im guessing the 5 million is coming down by the day! So when is it feasible for them to be sacked! Loving life. Newcastle "big club" crashing without brakes. Brum "BIG CLUB" still fighting relegation...And little ol' Rovers fighting above their punch battling for a European place through the league.

I doubt Bellers will be fit for Saturday, definitely not fit for a start. I think the two major decisions for Saturday are: Kuqi or Sinama....Tugay or Emerton. Im thinking Emerton will start with possibly Kuqi continuing although I think the lad needs a break and he seems more influential when he comes on. I also never knew how much Id miss Dickov. He has won me over this season. He is a good striker at Premiership level for smaller teams and he torments the opposition and we cant ask more, when we dont have the money to buy a Ronaldo or Shevchenko.
-
What a match. Rollercoaster. I just wanna make some quick observations. Kuqi worked his socks off, but too bad he has no technique whatsoever. I wont slam him for todays performance cause he kept the ball up well. Can do a good job with his back to goal. MGP worked so hard to help Gray out. He was virtually a second left back and I have to commend him and our coaches for making him a complete TEAM player, unlike when he first arrived. Bentley looked brilliant all day and could have used a better partner. He is looking better every game, especially playing up front as a second striker. I thought our defence was good in general, except for a few lapses we looked in control. Cant remember how many times Nelsen cleared the ball, he was great. Shame about 2 errors by Todd. Ferguson can talk crap as much as he wants, but we were brilliant, and I dont know about the fouls, I thought it was pretty even and United players will appreciate that, at least the real players like Rooney wont complain. The 5th - 10th positions are getting tighter and tighter. For the first time, I feel that Arsenal may not recover to finish 4th. But West Ham will be really pushing hard for a UEFA Cup spot now and with Man City and us in good form, and throw Bolton and Wigan into the mix, you have got yourself a good battle on hand. Spurs arent even out of reach yet!

[Archived] Rovers Foul All The Time - Ferguson
Bobby G replied to jim mk2's topic in Football Messageboard Archive
Makes me laugh. We should have won by a wider margin. He forgets that Saha should have been offside and Andy Todd gifted them the second goal and the third goal came after a poor offside line judgment by our defence. He also forgets that if Kuqi knew how to finish it would have been 5-3 and that Bentley could have made it 5 earlier when van Der Sar came out to no mans land. Well deserved. We had them under control and to be honest after it became 4-3, I expected United to equalize but they didnt really test Friedel again. -
Todd for Zurab and Tugay for Axe. Zurab not in the 16. Bench is Encks, Emo, Axe, JJ, Peter.
-
Id try to rough them up a bit.
-
Where does it say that Bellers is definitely out and for how long!?
-
Would be special if Bellers is fit to start tonight or at least come on.
-
Whats the latest official news on Bellers? Havent seen it anywhere that he is out for 2 weeks...
-
Would have loved to see Pongolle play but it looks like we will have to do. On a side note, United didnt sign any midfield cover and it looks like Ol Rio will be their holding player, coming face to face with Robbie Savage! The only reservation I have about tonight is our strikeforce, especially as Kuqi has ran out of steam during the last few games and looks a shadow of his "former" self.
-
Dammit Kuqi and Bentley up front again!!!!AHHHH... No teeth up front against the SCUM. This is lame. I just hope we can get a point out of this game otherwise, it would have been a disappointing 7-8 days.
-
A draw at best.

You reckon that there is a realistic possibility of having 14 million pounds to spend?
