My view on big Shefki??? C'mon back BIG BOY, we were just kidding! I want it duly noted that I was against letting him go from the begining. Heck, a blind man on a galloping horse (now where did I read that before ??) could see that Kuqi' effort was the cure-all for Saturday's ills? It's unfortunate that our illusions of 'Champagne Rovers' have evaporated and we are left to rue Kuqi's and Dickov's graft up front. Anyway, perhaps too much melodrama-- it does take time to adjust to the Premiership, Bennie hasn't been complete sh*te.

Perhaps, as he was brillant. What was tugay thinking throwing Brad under the bus like that... ? But how much fault does Brad receive for setting up that crap wall? Or was the fault entirely Lucas' for half heartedly trotting past the ball thinking that Brad had it? -

Home3/Away3 I would add my 2 pence worth: Not to whinge about the crappy sponsor, but that we PLEASE reduce the size of the advert as its present proportions makes us look a bit Fizzy Pop league. And we are decidedly not Fizzy Pop ! -

Would be very nice to grab the full 3 points, nevermind nice, downright important. I think Rovers will make a late claim for the full points. Rovers 2 - Addicks 1 Benny 25'- who cares? Brad 88' (sound familiar?) C'mon Rovers, we need to make this game in-hand count for 3 & jump to 12th. -

As the Dude and other posters have stated: 'need three points desperately'. After the dreadful feeling of the last 45 minutes vs. Spuds, I was impressed by the way we handled ourselves at Feyenoord, hopefully the extended break will heal all niggling knocks & the lads can put Fulham in their place. This fixture (or is it the Cottage match) is usually chockful of scoring-- with our back four, i'd not bet against that. Noting that we are on december's doorstep: When's the admiral return? I miss that warm, secure feeling Ryan provided something awful. cheers b/w -
Ugh, Bryan !! NOT ! Upton Park is historically a sad place for us. While we are rarely successful there, an abundance of goals is usually on offer. Hopefully, our new - found security in the back 4 will clamp down on the east enders and deny them the lifeline they desperately need. I love Tevez and Mascherano and they'll undoubtly come good--but not at the expense of our Rovers. We need these away wins -- they make a huge difference at season's end. C'mon Blues !!

You are correct Drakefrye... i bumbled both of my quote on that post...I've got NY Mets on the brain this week.

He did attend Stanford Univ. in Palo Alto, Ca. which is an outstanding institution. I'm not certain if he's a graduate due to his footballing. It still speaks very highly of him. It's his hands that hold him back.

[Archived] Special Kit For Feyenoord?
blue/white replied to doctorryan's topic in Football Messageboard Archive
I am somewhat surprised that the club did not introduce a Euro kit. I have our last one (Red bordered Kappas) & reckon it to be the nicest Rovers' kit home/away since the McEwans' kits. A nice Black/Red halved kit would be very sharp & quite intimidating to trot it our at feyenoord. C'mon ROVERS ! -
Top Post, 1864. I wish I could make a trip to support Rovers like that... must be brillant, i'm sure

So, the upshot here is: Stephane in for Lorenzo? Whats' the problem fellas? Zero impact.

I'll fall in line w/ that sentiment! Kudos to the Cataluyans... but they can afford to be altruistic, no? Now, if they would stop harassing Javy Savi and let him play w/ Etoo.... -

Colin's graphic makes for a depressing read. I knew we're notoriously slow out of the gate--but that really drives it home. I still want to look at this optimistically as we cannot afford a slow start this August. Pompey 1 - who cares Rovers 2 - MGP & Shefki (last 9 minutes to quiet his legions of doubters) Go on Rovers, get into 'em. -
I'd go along w/ that, Nellie then Savage.... Say what you want, Lily is a very important element in the engine room & is Sparky's standard bearer out on the pitch.
-
Well done Reidy ! Congratulations on the armband. Go 'git those Dutch barstewards! Rovers chalk up another International Capt?
