Didn't realise he had that many against Rovers as well.
-
Heskey always seemed to score against Rovers as well. I'd be interested to see if he scored more against anyone else than us - I very much doubt it. EDIT: In fact, according to transfermarket, these were his favoured opponents (number of times he scored against them in brackets): ROVERS (13) Chelsea, Middlesboro, West Ham (7) Spurs, Southampton (6) Sunderland, Leeds, Derby, Coventry (5)

We should do this with all misfiring strikers. Who knows how many goals the following could have scored: Ashley Ward-Romario Kevin Davies-Batistusta David Goodwillie-Rooney Chris Brown-Kuntz
-
People did think he was looking a player 12 months ago. Apart from me of course ๐
-
Ward was bad - but he was no Chris Brown. Ward scored 5 goals in 17 Premier League appearances in that relegation season. Brown made 41 appearances in the tier below (including cup games) and didn't score a single goal. Brown was on a different level of useless. He's better at doing podcasts.

Premier League season 21/22

9 months today since Burnley won a league game at home ๐ -
Is that true? Genuine question - I can't seem to find anything to suggest he's actually ever played right back.
-
The bit of skill inside the area that Rothwell does before the Gallagher goal is absolutely wonderful - I've watched it time and time again. If that goes in rather than hitting the post - it's a goal of the season contender. Rochina is the only player I've seen at Rovers in the last 10 years capable of that. Prior to that I think it would only be a Duff or Bohinen that would be capable of it* *Since I've been watching football (90's onwards)

Just when you think Mowbray can't sound any more ridiculous....he outdoes himself.
-
Yes, at least they have grass there ๐
-
I'd agree with most of that - but I reckon Newcastle will be looking at better players than Armstrong now they're loaded.
-
Or just pop forward a few years, find out the numbers for any big Euro Millions jackpots and then come back and buy the club.
-
Absolutely correct. Over the last three and a bit seasons, he's played 133 games and missed 30. When he's played we've won 37.6% of games and that drops to 20% when he's not played. We've lost 60% of the games he's missed - a figure that drops to 34.6% when he plays. I don't particularly rate him either, but we're better with him in the side, although I suspect that's more to do with what we replace him with, rather than how good he is.

What's Judan Ali up to nowadays? He was always linked with the job when it was available.
-
He's having another good season in League 1 - right in the promotion mix at present.
-
There's a central midfield that's getting over-run if I ever did see one.
-
Is that a fact that the wage structure is one of the highest in the league though? The only numbers I could find were from 2018/19 season (so a few years ago now), but that had Rovers with the 16th highest wage bill in the division. I can't imagine we've increase our spend on wages massively since then. In fact, Rovers wage bill was two thirds that of the average wage for the division. Source:

If he gets us promoted, he won't be sacked. If he doesn't get us promoted, he won't be sacked.
-
That's probably a fair point. Who else have we ever paid more than ยฃ7m for? Cole, Grabbi, Davies, Rhodes, Ferguson? Rhodes a success, Cole a success to a degree (kept us up, won a trophy), the other three were disasters.
-
I get what you're saying, but considering some of the players we just randomly extend contracts of, it's disappointing that we've not got it sorted by now.
