  1. Well I went for a few: Ainsworth - Think he's done a remarkable job with Wycombe whether he's a Blackburn lad or not. Deserves a chance at a bigger club. Farke - Would absolutely be my first (realistic) choice. Proven at this level and a good style of play. Manning - Got a great win percentage over his career, plays good football and a young, upcoming type of manager. A gamble, but maybe that's what we need. Roll the dice! Hughes - Purely for the old romantic in me and you'd think he'd be interested. In reality, it's probably not a good idea to go back there. Dyche - Probably would take him over Farke...but doubt it would happen. Be brilliant to have him taking Rovers up as we watched Burnley slide down.
  2. Ryan Lowe - he's only just started at PNE, not going anywhere (although I think he's probably the best of the bunch) Callum Davidson - his stock was very high last season after winning both cups, but they've had a poor season this year Paul Warne - Done a decent job at Rotherham, but doesn't fill me with any excitement Steven Reid - Saw he'd been linked with the Wimbledon job the other day (I think), but no experience. Avoid. Kenny Jackett - Not the worst option, although his last job at Leyton Orient wasn't his best.
  3. I see they've released Connor Ripley as well. If we suddenly announce he's signing, I'll know Mowbray is hanging around.
  4. I don't think you'd get a response if you were Steve Waggott 😂 You're not Steve Waggott are you?
  5. Presumably the sort of son that you don't get to watching playing football on a weekend....because you've dropped him.
  6. Well they didn't know you could get relegated from the Premier League....maybe they think we are still in it?
  7. You've got to remember that the list on there is the list the bookies have come up with, not the club. Our list is probably even less imaginative. Mowbray Pulis
  8. It feels to me like it's Del and Rodney trying to become millionaires. We will try for years to get to the Premier League and if we finally get there, we will realise it's not actually any fun when we just get hammered most weeks.
  9. Not for me. He's done nothing since he left Leicester. Derby - 14 games (Win % 21.4) OH Leuven - 56 games (Win % 32.1) Watford - 22 games (Win % 31.8%) Bristol City - 61 games (Win % 27.9) Not a great record over the last 7 years.
  10. I can't see him ending up back as Celtic manager this summer 😉
  11. Rowett maybe. I'd not be happy with replacing Mowbray with any of the others.
  12. I commented the other day that the odds with the bookies at present paints a more depressing picture than previously. I stand corrected. That's an awful list.
  13. According to Soccerbase: Matches with Nyambe: Played 32 Lost 8 Matches without Nyambe: Played 15 Lost 9
  14. Plus Koeman and Ancelotti didn't exactly do a great job there and ended up at Barcelona and Real Madrid. Maybe Dyche can use Everton as a stepping stone to getting in the dugout at El Classico.
  15. Think back to before we were taken over by Venky's. Imagine ever muttering that sentence.
  16. A lot of water has passed under the bridge since he was sacked though - and he's been very successful since he left. They've had 16 separate appointments including caretakers since he left!! Only Zola and Gracia managed longer spells that Dyche's 49 games in charge. You'd definitely think Everton would be a better option if they did go down though. He's needed a step up from Burnley for awhile, and clubs like Everton have thought they were above him unfortunately for him.
  17. I reckon Dyche will end up at Watford. It's about 60 miles from where he lives, he used to both play for them and manage them, he'd have a decent chance of an instant promotion back to the Premier League.
  18. I've read it numerous times and I'm not sure whether it's a quote from now or then. It's not very clear.
  19. He did take over a Sunderland side that had lost 5 out of their first 6 games and got them promoted as champions in the same season.
  20. 21.95% win rate at Middlesbrough and even though he did better at Bournemouth - he still lost 8 out of his 23 games there. Avoid.
  21. I think Roy Keane would be exciting. He looks like he's ready to get back into management. From the names touted so far, my preference in order would be: 1) Farke 2) Keane 3) Manning 4) Ainsworth EDIT: Dyche would probably be two, but I don't think it would ever happen.
  22. Bowyer's record surprised me - 35% is poor considering the players he had at his disposal IMO. Worth noting that Mowbray's win percentage drops to 35.5% if you discount the season in league one - which none of the other managers had.
  23. That'd almost be like two new signings as I think the majority of people have resigned themselves to them both going.
