  1. We've all been supporting Rovers long enough to know what happens here 😂
  2. That's like turning down a job with a 500% salary increase because it would cost you more in petrol.
  3. He's not even a Pedersen when it comes to a physical encounter
  4. I'd be very surprised if he didn't go for Steven Gerrard who was one of his idols as a kid. He actually supported Man United so Rooney was one of his heroes as well. Second thoughts, let's not ask him 😂
  5. Absolutely. I'd be asking his opinion on who to appoint. At least make him feel involved as the captain. He absolutely drives this team. If he's onboard and fit for the rest of the season, we've got a chance.
  6. Waggott: Why do you want to leave John? Eustace: I'm homesick Waggott: This is your home! Eustace: I'm sick of it
  7. How old are you out of interest? I used to hate watching us under Big Sam. However, I'd have him back now. Just what we need.
  8. After we beat Stoke with Johnson/Lowe in charge we were 7 points above the drop zone with a game in hand. Rotherham were virtually down. Eustace dragged us into a relegation battle.
  9. Derby thought it was a done deal by Friday evening. I suspect he was approached prior to Warne being sacked on Friday, but he can hardly admit that. He was at Accrington Stanley on Wednesday night looking tired. I wonder if he'd been at Derby earlier in the week for unofficial talks.
  10. Before every game I joke to my lad that this is the week Gueye scores an overhead kick winner. We were walking to the ground on Sunday and I said, "You do realise that he won't score an overhead kick in his life"
  11. I've just seen Pep Guardiola dropping off his CV in the club shop. We've rejected it as he's refused to email it in and we are trying to encourage 'going digital'.
  12. On the topic of Steve Bruce, has anyone read his football novels? Absolute sensational drivel. The audiobook of "Striker" is available online somewhere for free. Well worth a listen in the car. Potentially the most ridiculous thing you'll ever hear 😂
  13. Where is this coming from? If this is from me calling Suhail pretending to be Steve Bruce's agent...then it's funny and concerning in equal measure.
  14. https://www.independent.co.uk/sport/football/steve-cooper-nottingham-forest-blackburn-mls-premier-league-b2293701.html That's my concern with Cooper. He's dealt with clowns before.
  15. Not sure why people are so anti-Edwards. Took Forest Green Rovers up as champions. They've finished bottom of league one and then bottom of league two after he left. You can ignore the Watford bit - sacked before he had a chance. Then he took Luton Town to the Premier League with a budget smaller than ours. Even though they got relegated they were the best performing side of the promoted teams. Seemed to have gone stale this season, but the rest of his record is good.
  16. Exactly. Mutual consent is essentially a sacking. If Rovers sacked Kean - they had to pay him 12 months salary (from memory). If Kean resigned he had to pay us 12 months salary. Hence mutual consent coming in and a meeting in the middle. I'm convinced Postecoglu has wanted to get sacked for months.
  17. If we aren't sounding out Cooper, Allardyce and Dyche before we approach anyone else, we are getting it wrong IMO. If none of them are interested, we go to list two with the likes of Edwards, Duff, Buckingham, Challinor, O'Neil, Martin etc. Eventually we get to list 38 with Kean, Coyle and Fritzl on it.
  18. I think they are AI generated odds. Gives an idea of the names that may be in the frame though. I bet JDT wasn't even mentioned when the odds first came out before he was appointed. I think there was barely a market for Eustace as he was appointed so quickly.
  19. This. I liked a post match interview on social media that he did once so they always appear on my feed now. He says it like it is.
  20. I'm not saying I want him particularly, but he'd certainly not be eaten alive by those two. I feel he's quite outspoken.
  21. I just asked Alexa if Allardyce would enjoy hammering it into Gueye for 90 mins. She preferred not to answer that question.
  22. He was at Accy Stanley last Wednesday for the U21 game
  23. It'd be a glorious end to Venky's ownership. Venkys hating Allardyce comes back and leads us to a 1-0 play-off final win against Burnley. Converted centre half Makhtar Gueye scoring a header from a corner where he's man marking James Trafford. Big Sam emerges from the Wembley tunnel at full time with Steve Kean's head on a stick. Venkys decide they've had enough and fuck off.
  24. This is a problem with the game. There's so much money in it and the players just line their pockets. How on earth can clubs the size of Manchester United be struggling to make money with the turnover they have? Because players wages are disgusting. It's unsustainable.
