  1. Did we win 6 in a row under JDT at home? I thought I read the last time we won 5 in a row at home was in 1994/95.
  2. Didn't go tonight but Powell looks like he's got something about him. Probably our best player against Lyon.
  3. Also worth noting that two of the top three after 7 games got promoted.
  4. Beck shouldn't have any concerns there 😂 Joking aside, Beck is on another level to Pickering.
  5. And maybe switch to being straight when you get home 😂
  6. In reality everyone wants a wife that's a keeper.
  7. Our actual away record against them in recent years isn't too bad. 2-2 last year (but we were 2-0 up) 1-1 in 22/23 (last minute Hyam own goal) Won 4-1 in 21/22 Won 3-0 in 20/21 Last defeat was 3-2 in 2019 when we had gone 2-0 up in 11 minutes. Not a single member of our starting eleven on that day is still at the club.
  8. You're confusing games.
  9. How about this one?
  10. You seemed to rapidly gain in confidence as your post went on 😂
  11. Walking distance from my house and they opened the bar which was a bonus.
  12. Powell was the stand out for me at left back. Litherland looks decent on the ball. Caddick looked quite tidy. Tyjon looked quite lively when he came on. Mafoumbi reminds me of Ennis. He looked overweight. Difficult to see anyone making a break through this season but presumably Lyon are a pretty high level and we didn't get outclassed.
  13. Duru was there with his girlfriend. She looked decent.
  14. I was just watching some highlights of Cozier-Duberry on Youtube. I assumed the Bukayo Saka comparisons were the usual lazy comparisons. But he absolutely reminds me of Saka. He looks a real talent. Looking forward to having someone like him in the team.
  15. I once met Tommy Smith's son (Darren maybe?) and he had a great story about Pele from when he was a kid. They'd moved over to the USA temporarily when his dad got a move over there. They went to a restaurant and Pele attempted to go in but they wouldn't let him as he was black. So Tommy also left the restaurant and they all went for McDonalds as they would let Pele in. Great story to tell people about the time you were a kid and went to McDonald's with Pele.
  16. I thought we had to pay out the entirety of his contract due to Shaw removing a clause without Venky's knowledge?
  17. Here it is. So whilst JDT technically offered to leave for nothing, the club would actually have been entitled to money off him (assuming a similar contract). This is why managers rarely resign these days - it's usually mutual consent.
  18. I know that Steve Kean's contract had something in where he had to pay the club 12 months salary if he left of his own choosing (new job or resigning).
  19. That centre half pairing would get murdered if they have anyone with any pace.... ..like my gran.
  20. I had a season ticket back then and don't remember that bit! (Not saying it didn't happen)
  21. And presumably they'd take more money if they went down the cheap tickets option when you take into account food/drink sales. This should be a tenner for adults and a quid for kids. Capitalise on our decent start to the season and get a reasonable attendance. Still the school summer holidays - so no concern of school the next day for those of us with young kids wanting to go.
