  1. How Irobnic!
  2. Good win for you there Big A! Very impressive.
  3. I like it when everyone write us off. Everyone said Spurs would win the Worthington Cup Final- and we proved them wrong. The more people suggest an Arsenal win, the more pressure on them, the less on us.
  4. Lawrensen predicting defeat is a bonus. The man's a rag eyed gonk- who usually gets it wrong. Cheers Lawro.
  5. Just speaking to a United fan at work, and he reckoned they still had 500 tickets left on sale on Monday- which were being sold to any members. So they obviously took their time to sell all their tickets- and they've got a lot bigger supporter base than us. We'll just have to make sure we all make the noise of 2 men. And enough about the crowd- as the great Homer Simpson once said: "When it comes to sporting events, it's not the winning or losing thats important, it's how drunk you get" LEGEND
  6. I'm now coming thanks to 1864 Roverite and a decision to abandon financial sense. Looking forward to it- won't make a prediction, don't wanna tempt fate.
  7. yes but thats all been said so why sa it again This is an argument that's gone on and on. Both sides have put their points across, and they keep getting repeated. Everyone seems to have forgotten that there is a game on- who's going to be watching the crowd anyway.
  8. What sort of a fan are you, putting your kids and family before your club? Can't you not feed your kids for a few weeks? Maybe even sell one of them? Of course Rovers should be the only thing in your life!
  9. Just shows what they think of the fans
  10. I might be wrong about the 17,000 tickets- so dont hold me to that. I was told though by a guy who has been with United that each club gets 17k or so for the final- with the rest going to corporate hospitality. Makes me sick.
  11. I'd love it if your ticket turned out to be a fake that someone had made printed on a cracker
  12. Be lucky to get tickets for the final if you don't go to the semi. Been talking to a United fan and he reckons we'd get 17,000 tickets if we got to the final. Assuming we do take 16,000 (approx) on Saturday, that leaves the rest of us scraping the pennies together (and fighting for) the last 1,000 or so tickets.
  13. It's not fair to abuse those of us who can't make it. £45 a ticket + £20 to get down per person. I'm sorry we're not going to sell out all our application, but some people simply can't get to the game- and shouldn't be criticised if they've got a genuinely good reason.
  14. Intersting fact. Henry has scored 30 goals for Arsenal this season. 24 have them have been scored at Highbury- only 6 at other grounds. I'm afraid I'll be an armchair supporter on Saturday- can't afford to go.
  15. Finally got a half decent youth pull. Not great, but should raise me 50-70k. 18 year old with 400 TSI and Solid Defending. Hoping to spend about a million quid on one signing in the near future. Thinking between a centre back or a striker.
  16. Give Matteo a few more games and he'll be a contender.
  17. Speaking of Oumar Konde, I was on a quiz machine with some mates the other day. It was a football hang man game, and one of the categories was "Rovers Heroes". We selected Rovers heroes in the thought that I should be able to get it- got a few letters, but still had no idea. Then when we lost it revealed the answer- Oumar Konde. Ha Ha- hero, didn't think he even ever got a first team game.
  18. I won 3-0. Still not ready for promotion though, I think I'll throw the last game. Another crappy youth pull too. Only an inadeqate defender. My brother, who has a solid youth set up (level below me), pulled an 18 year old midfielder with solid playmaking and solid passing with 1500 TSI. I've only had one decent player in the 6/7 weeks i've had an excellent youth team (an excellent defender)
  19. Q: Who has scored for Newcastle United at Wembley under the managership of Kevin Keegan and then later in their career came on as substitute goalkeeper for an injured Peter Schmeichel for Manchester United in a European match?
  20. Earl Barrett (?), Luther Blissett, Gary Mabbut
  21. Probably very wrong- but Peter Schmeichel?
  22. For the Derbies Question- is it Andrei Kanchelskis?
  23. He'd played for us and retired before the premier league ever started. No, Moran played with us in until 93/94. Is there an echo in here?
  24. Thought it might have been Paul McGrath, but he left United two years before the Premiership started - (so esentially this is a totally pointless post )
  25. What an unfortunate turn of phrase Ha Ha! Good work!
