Been very much suffering like you during that time pal. Yes, and they also show form of doing something when you least expect it. It only ever takes the right, or wrong, person to get in their ear. As I say, let’s see - I think it’ll be an interesting summer at least.

Problem is with Reed he gets shunted around everywhere so understandably he’s finding it hard to keep high levels of consistency. Another Bennett in TM’s eyes. I’d wager he doesn’t want to be and probably sees himself as a CM. Can’t see him coming back next season unless Saints and other south based clubs don’t want him.

I’m not sure this time. You can imagine all their ‘hangers on’ getting in their ears with talk of the PL riches (wealth and access to people) being within touching distance. I reckon they’ll try to get TM to go for it in the summer or will get somebody in who will if he’s not game. I think it will be an interesting summer either way.

That £50 million line is interesting. I have a feeling they’re getting a tad itchy about his reluctance to go for it (the PL, not the £50m btw).

I’d flog Williams and Bell at the first opportunity - hopefully a couple of League One clubs will take them off our hands. I’d not give Rodwell a new deal - he’s a defensive midfielder who doesn’t have the body for the role anymore. I’d be looking to get a centre half to pair alingside Lenihan (the one worth persisting with for me) with Mulgrew taking more of a squad role, while a left back is obviously a huge priority. Also a RB to compete with Nyambe. In summary - a heck of a lot to do!

Said it before and say it again you can’t get away with playing two cultured CB’s together these days. We need 1 tough bugger back there. Recipe for disaster.
