Wickham seems a realistic shout, you’d like to think we’d be in for him if he were available. Ings is probably the most ambitious name I’ve seen on here - he’s the Saints tailisman (and record signing?!) and I doubt we could afford one of Maupay or Adam’s feet let alone both.

Like others am concerned by their style of play. Set piece experts - utilising their big buggers to cause maximum mayhem in our box. Which really ain’t our style. Not really sure what TM does to counter this as we have to be the smallest side in the league. Perhaps Chris Samba fancies dusting off his boots for a one off match?!

I’m not usually one for the ambitious targets, but I could see Leighton Baines going out on loan in January given Digne has taken over as Everton’s first choice LB. Could be worth throwing our hat in the ring - would imagine there would be a fair few clubs in for him mind and Everton would need to pay the majority of his no doubt big wage. 33 but even if he just played with his right foot would still be a huge upgrade on Del & Rodney!

Confident how this one will play out; 0-0 drab first half Weds take the lead midway through the second, we huff and puff but can’t force the equaliser.

Williams ‘attempt’ really does get worse every time you watch it. Inexcusable. Simply cannot be in the side on Saturday - would send completely the wrong message that dipping your toe in, doing a pirouette and barely jogging back is acceptable.

Agreed but none of them have shown an iota of leadership nous in the past 2 matches. Agree with others too that Mowbray doesn’t help. He’s too much of a forlorn figure on the touchline for me. I’m not asking for a gorilla like Cooke but it’d be good to see some passion rubbing off on the players as the match progresses.

Yep - the response from our boys every time they scored was galling. No shouting at one another, no grabbing the ball. Just heads down feeling sorry for themselves. Would appear we lack some serious leadership on the pitch.

I read a stat last night that weve used 10 different back line variations in 19 matches. Add in the chopping and changing of our ‘front wide men’, Graham and the false 9’s, and it’s little bloody wonder we can’t put any consistency together. He’s going to obviously shuffle the pack again this weekend, and rightly so to an extent, but we cannot keep making 3-5 changes every week - no successful Championship side does it, so we’re not going to buck that trend anytime soon.

Yep. No mention of the false 9 masterclass at the start of the second half again of the failure to get them fired up after Saturdays debacle.
