I think the ‘Agent Benno’ stuff was very poor in reflection given we ended up signing one guy who everyone knew was coming in. The club must have known that everyone would have suspected Armstrong or Chapman. Big few days ahead, need 3 players minimum.

Been away for a few weeks and just catching up. Agree with the consensus of concern - out wide was our number one problem area and we’ve brought in absolutely zilch thus far which is very concerning, not to mention up front. Pleased with the signing of Rothwell; obviously had the best schooling possible so will be technically adept. Only worry is his injury record so let’s hope he’s more Richie Smallwood than Corry Evans on that front!

Shows just what we're up against when one of the expected-to-be poorer teams in the division shell out £13m on a player.
