  1. There's the keyword. Been nothing from the club.
  2. Any word on Nyambe too? Don't seem to get much in the way of fitness updates out of Rovers. Ben 'you should see what he does in training' Gladwin seems to have been on the comeback trail since October.
  3. Yep, that'd be the only way you would imagine. If you read/hear any of his interviews then he's hell-bent on succeeding at Newcastle as a local lad. Fair play to him.
  4. Hasn’t scored since the start of December in the FA Cup. Worse than I thought! The drop in quality up top after Graham is alarming.
  5. Compare Vaughan's performance for Wigan when he came on against us vs. what we've seen from Samuel and to a lesser extent Nuttall from the bench this season - like chalk and cheese. We're buggered if Graham gets injured.
  6. Missed his width big time IMO; particularly the ability to stretch teams out wide late in the game. Be great to see him, hopefully, firing from the bench in a couple of week's time. A much more potent option than the likes of Antonsson.
  7. Oh I agree. You can count on a couple of fingers the number of decent games he’s had for us. No doubt playing regularly for a country doing relatively well has likely gone to his head too. Best all round if he clears off this summer, providing we can get a taker.
  8. Evans would be one people are forgetting about. Doesn’t look like he’s wanted to be here since he’s come the club.
  9. Under 18s smashing Notts Forest 4-1 tonight in the FA Youth Cup 5th round. Lad called Jack Vale has bagged a hat-trick. Anyone know anything about him?
  10. Has he had any injuries since his golden spell at Cov? Doesn’t appear to have scored many for a couple years now (appreciate he was played LW a lot at Bolton) so let’s hope he can get back on the wagon and quickly!
  11. Ties in with Mowbray talking a lot recently about bringing somebody in with pace during January. Sounds one of the worst hamstring injuries that I can recall - usually it’s a 3-4 month (ish) job for a hamstring operation and recovery isn’t it?
  12. Would be nice. First time we’ve done 5 on the spin since under Souness in 2000 by the way. Just the 17 years!
  13. Great turnaround this. Will be the first time we’ve won five league games on the trot for...anyone? Hope MK can hold on for a point against the Shrews.
  14. Need a draw at least here with others winning. Losing would be a poor result. Looks as if the huge wait for 5 league wins in a row will go on...
  15. Parson, do we have anyone in the Chapman mould who could potentially step up in his absence? Pace and likes to beat a man. Is JRC very quick?
  16. 6-0 now. What more do some of these lads need to do?
  17. Somebody I know mentioned that he was thrown on cold too - having no warm up whatsoever. If that is true then Mowbray and the physios want flogging.
  18. Goodbye pace, was nice knowing you ever so briefly.
  19. 3-0 now. It's getting bloody ridiculous; some of these lads deserve a chance.
  20. How many goals did the likes of Neville and Cole score? Even the likes of Walker only ever score extremely rarely today. So long as they're defending well, and adding value going forward through assists and providing telling passes, then what's the issue?
  21. One bluenose quote on Twitter had me laughing my tits off, 'he needs to pass it forward a bit.'
  22. Steele dropped by Sunderland already.
  23. Doyle has got to be worth a punt over Williams at LB or God forbid, LWB in one of Mowbray's master formations.
  24. The John Stones of the lower leagues. Rolls Royce of a player for the league he's in, but as you say, always has a moment where he either turns off or gets done by the opposition. Midfield or LB could be the answer.
  25. Solid win that, was apprehensive about the formation pre match but job done. Similar scoreline on Saturday please and we're up and running.
