I had him down as a super sub. I’m now even doubting that. I’d describe him as brainless on the pitch. What an awful start to this match from Rovers. Will get everything we deserve here.

Okay I am being a bit harsh. But he’s got no composure at all in the final third. I can’t personally see that improving too much either - just doesn’t strike me as that kind of player. I actually think he’s a useful option from the bench against tiring defenders but he’s certainly not a starter IMO.

Same for Dolan, minus the good footballer part (IMO). The end product for he and Hedges is absolutely terrible; they are like rabbits in headlights whenever they get into good positions. Agreed on Hedges being a good footballer though, he's a classy player on the eye. Markanday the jury is out on. Gilsenen has to be worth a punt over Dolan - particularly with Siggy still a few weeks off returning.

I won’t bother getting excited. A PL side will snatch him off us for peanuts in the next couple of years I’m sure.

Could come back to bite me but I reckon only Leicester will be a real force this season - ala Burnley from last year. Too much talent to bugger things up you would think. I’m not convinced on Martin’s ability to get the best out of that Saints side, whilst Leeds’ squad looks so unbalanced with numerous off the pitch issues. I think a play-off position is absolutely there for the taking this season - once again - for any team with a half decent manager and side. I still think we’re two starting positions (CF/RW) away from that being us. Like others, I’m also starting to worry about our lack of physicality against the big sides too. Only two 6 footers in your side is going to represent real problems against the canny managers in the Championship.

Just watching MOTD back this morning. Poor Kaminski is going to get a broken back picking the ball out of the net with those defenders in front of him. As an aside, Van Hecke started again. I wonder if there’s a chance for a regular spot for him with Colwill now gone - I know De Zerbi likes a left footed centre half.
