I was impressed by what Gregg had to say when he first arrived but I have been a bit disappointed since. Not only has he been silent but our signings have been predictable, by that I mean there hasn’t been much exaggeration. He’s in a predicament now where if we l lose BBD and don’t get 4/5 quality players in, he can only be looked at as a failure. Hope I’m wrong and he has some surprises up his sleeve…….I’m not sure.

Amen to that, a couple savvy signings and we look a total different prospect. We looked good today but very vulnerable to injuries. if we could realistically get Bowler, Styles and striker who holds the ball up we would be a sexy outfit!

Apologies if it’s been mentioned on any thread but Dack was warming up in front of us today and there is definitely a rift. He ignored the fans and had the monk on all game. He wasn’t his usual bubbly self. it was odd to see. I was told last week he wasn’t injured but had fallen out with JDT about his work rate and told he’d have to change to be in his team……..anyone else heard anything?

I’ve got to agree, he came in talking the talk and been absolutely terrible. You simply cannot lose 6/7 first teamers and not replace them before the season starts.

We are still a few thousand behind PNE on ST sales though. That buck stops with Waggot! Zero imagination……we went with the “One of our own” and then went on to give away 2 of our own! 😂🙈

I hate the fact Ewood won’t be bouncing tomorrow. You look at Preston and Burnley and they’ve smashed ST sales. I wouldn’t say either are expecting exceptional seasons but with a few clever ideas they’ve bonded the fan bases and ST sales have been exceptional. is Waggot totally oblivious or totally pigheaded to realise this?

I am terrified we are going in to the new season with one signing! With Lenihan, Rothwell and Nyambe all gone we are very light not only in numbers but quality too. This team capitulated last season and it was because we didn’t strengthen in January. We are now amazingly weaker. I thought the appointment of GB would improve our poor transfer record……Seems to have got worse! 😂

I’m not sure how anyone would find out about 5 signings when there’s nothing in the media……all must have been kept very quiet. Of course there’s always a chance of attention seeking? We’ll see, we certainly need 5 + just to be on similar ground as last season.

Getting beyond a joke now! Less than 2 weeks away from the big kick off and our squad I’d wafer thin. Any injuries in the 1st games and we are looking at the academy to step up straight away. It’s a dangerous game to play.

Absolutely, but the thought of going in to those games with our current squad send shivers down my spine. I can’t see many others disagreeing with that?

Waiting till the last week to do deals helps no one though. The players need to integrate. That’s why we start so slow. We basically use the first half a dozen games as preseason friendlies. You have to understand the frustration of losing your better players and not have a whisper regarding replacements. its 3 weeks until kick off!! 3 weeks!!!

We do not have the money to replace Nyambe, Lenihan or Rothwells quality. Again we have to hope we get lucky. They have all gone for free. We will be lucky to have £3m+ available for transfer fees. Loans certainly have their place in this squad but they cannot be relied on. The silence is deafening at the minute.

I agree to an extent but that talented squad still required quality additions. That was obvious in the latter stages of the season. Now some of the main players have gone we are well short in quality and numbers. We need 6 decent incomings, I’m not confident we are capable of acquiring such quality, this is due to money and ambition.
