  1. I had a very quick look on wikipedia and could see 8 as the maximum, but it's possible we got less points during the same period as we've drawn a lot of matches during this winless run. Idk, it's shit either way. No doubt about that, but for me this run is still inexcusable. Even the teams at the very bottom of the league are picking up the odd win here and there.
  2. 9 games without a win. A paltry 5 goals scored during that time. Correct me if I'm wrong, but even under Mowbray I think the maximum we went without a win was 8 games. Just when you think these kind of collapses are a thing of the past, somehow we outdo ourselves right at the end of the season.
  3. Attackers - that's what you should be doing.
  4. Because our attackers have no idea what they're doing.
  5. Well, you could argue we've been twisting and turning downwards since January. Like a game of snakes and ladders, but with no ladders.
  6. Looking forward to the lap of dishonour.
  7. How is the 'project' suppose to move forward with our current recruitment team and, reportedly, only frees and loans as transfer options? 14 goals from our half-a-season man needing immediate replacement, and more goals required to have a realistic chance of improving on this season. Next season could be a really nasty shock for a lot of people, including JDT if he's still around.
  8. Remember what it felt like to actually win a match? No, me either.
  9. Why make the changes 10 minutes into the second half when it was obvious to everybody that they needed to be made at half time? Pure reactivity to going a goal down.
  10. Yep, that'll be it. Might as well turn off the TV and do something better with your time folks. JDT's Rovers don't do comebacks. Or score goals.
  11. Is Dack really so unfit that he can't play 45 minutes in a crucial match like this? He's the only player who I'd trust putting the ball into the net right now. Crazy to me that he sits on the bench whilst Dolan, Hedges and BBD make scoring a goal look like the equivilent of solving the problem of quantum gravity.
  12. Good squad players if we don't need to rely on any of them to score. Unfortunately that's three of our four primary attacking options. With that said post-December Diaz isn't even a good squad player. He's terrible.
  13. Dolan > Dack Diaz > Traffic Cone Hedges > Thomas Make it so.
  14. Dolan, Hedges and Diaz genuinely look like they'd struggle to score in League 1. Good luck Villareal.
  15. Considering how poor our GD is, I wouldn't feel particularly aggrieved honestly. Getting smashed by Rotherham, Reading and Preston means we get all we deserve on the GD front.
  16. Could we not have just put a traffic cone on the pitch and stuck a picture of Diaz's head to it? At least the ball would have a chance of ricocheting off the cone into a dangerous position. Maybe something to consider at HT.
  17. Always thus. We play better when we're the ones doing the counter attacking. Us dominating possession is the worst thing that can happen.
  18. It's almost like they're being paid not to score.
  19. Twice in two seasons no less.
  20. Keeping in mind the goal of buying Brereton for £7m would surely have been to develop him and then sell him on for a higher fee, as would have been perfectly sensible, you do have to assume that a sale of Wharton for a hypothetical £20m would go to redressing the loss we ended up making on both Brereton's fee and wages over the course of his contract. Plugging a gap that simply shouldn't have been allowed to appear.
  21. Rotherham's win means they are now safe, ending their multi-year streak of yo-yoing between the Championship and League 1. It means that if Huddersfield are able to get at least a draw from their home match on Thursday against Sheff Utd, Reading will be relegated. If not, then it'll go down to the final day, where Reading Vs Huddersfield will decide who is playing in League 1 next season.
  22. Keeping in mind the context was the likes of Coventry, Millwall and Luton above us, and the teams at the lower end of the league, do you think we're facing a significant disadvantage based on that? Remembering that as far as the academy is concerned, we have a very good one that is highly funded relative to a lot of other clubs. If you do then fair enough, for the record, it's all about opinions... but I don't think there's good reason to say we're way above where we should be in this league. I think if we finish 8th - 10th that's an average position based on what we have available.
  23. Souey was a great manager for us until the final season or so, and even then he left before he could damage his legacy. As far as being a pundit, much like Keane he speaks his mind and isn't afraid to call out stupid comments made by other pundits, which is refreshing. His Liverpool bias can be annoying, but that aside he was worth listening to.
