  1. I think it's possibly down to the first team, youth team, and womens team all having different sponsors so it's more cost productive to receive the shirts unsponsored. It also allows the club to sell shirts with the womens team sponsor on it. Also, if we were to play any pre-season friendlies in France, we wouldn't be able to have 10Bet on the front as betting sponsors are prohibited in France.
  2. I'm guessing that the club shop not being open has a big part to play in it too as the sponsors are printed on the shirts by the club shop, and not Umbro, so they would need more than one person working there to get all the shirts ready. The one big problem about the club shop staff doing it is that at least one member of staff doesn't know how to align the printing correctly. This is made evident by some of the dodgy unaligned printing seen on some of the shirts worn by player's, and also my away shirts from the past two seasons where the 10Bet sponsor hasn't been centrally aligned.
  3. Bournemouth were only wearing it because their previous sponsorship deal had ended and the sponsor the used for the remaining games was a temporary one. The kits still don't have a release date. All kit releases are late this year, so it's not just us. 13 teams from the Championship haven't shown any kits off yet.
  4. Those are Umbro's teamwear kits that have been on their site for years. They won't be the new kits.
  5. Quite a few clubs haven't revealed anything either including other Umbro teams such as Brentford, Huddersfield and Hull. We don't usually reveal the kit until the week leading up to it's release. Luton's home shirt is out on the 7th August, with their away being 7th September and their third kit on 2nd October so we may see simliar dates for our's too. Bournemouth's isn't on sale yet either, and they only revealed it because their previous sponsorship deal had ended and the sponsor they've been using was only a temporary one.
  6. Hopefully it is Hummel and not Adidas, Nike or Puma. Hummel would actually put some thought into the design unlike the others (especially Adidas) as they knock out pretty much the same design for everyone bar the major teams.
  7. Just been announced on Sky Sports News that he has died.? Rest in Peace Peter.
  8. Although a draw is a bad result, it may be a blessing in disguise. A win would have put Mowbray in an extremely good position to win manager of the month, and we all know how well that usually turns out for us. I don't think we'll get into the play-offs, but given the fact that all the teams fighting for a place in them are currently producing underwhelming results (bar Sheffield Wednesday), any team between 3rd and 12th could get there, although we definitely need to strenghten our defence in January to really stand a chance. Leeds will be approaching their usual second half of season downfall soon too so they may also get dragged into it.
  9. Well they could only get in what Umbro had in stock of the template used. The fact that both the Adult and Junior sizes are sold out on their teamwear site says it all.
  10. Umbro haven't made a single mention of it on their Twitter account and they had already told someone that we weren't getting one, so I think this just confirms that they had no say in it at all and that the club are trying to make a bigger profit on the shirts than if Umbro had designed one specifically for us.
  11. We should have just made last years yellow kit as the third. £50 for a teamwear shirt is a joke. I'm assuming this is a club decision and not an Umbro one as Umbro are quite happy to make third shirts for every single other club. Everytime we've needed a third shirt under Venky's, it's always been a teamwear kit.
  12. Suttner's a left back and was on loan there last season so I doubt it will make a difference.
  13. If this doesn't prove we need a third kit then nothing will. https://twitter.com/Rovers/status/1154100276741234693
  14. I wouldn't look too much in to that. Taylor Richards is still on there and he signed for Brighton last week.
  15. The others are Reading, QPR, Huddersfield and possibly Sheffield Wednesday and West Brom.
  16. Given that neither the club or Umbro are mentioning anything about a third kit when people ask about it on Twitter makes me think we are getting something new as opposed to using the yellow kit again. Otherwise they may as well just say now instead of keeping quiet about it. Also, the new away kit will only be needed against four teams (five if we can get away with it against Sheffield Wednesday due to their black shorts), whereas we would need a third kit for 10 games (nine if we can wear the grey one against Sheffield Wednesday).
  17. Every other Umbro team has a third kit. I think we were the only Umbro team last season not to have one so I'm guessing that's a club decision.
  18. I'm assuming we will need a third shirt. Either last year's will carry over or we have another kit on the way.
  19. You have to choose the home kit and then change the word 'home' to 'away' in the url.
  20. That's it. https://www.roverstore.co.uk/away-kit
  21. Love the new shirt. I like the fact that the 'Arte Et Labore' that is under the collar on the back is written in exactly the same font that was used for when it was on the sleeves of the 94/95 kit. I don't mind the sponsor being black. If it was red, it would have been too bright and stood out more, which would take something away from the shirt itself. With regards to the away shirt, I have a feeling the pattern that has been mentioned will be something similar to what is on the Heart's home shirt and the sleeves on the Schalke home shirt. The Heart's away shirt and the new Everton home shirt, which has been leaked today, also have patterns on them.
  22. Judging by the white on the sleeve, the halves are the correct way round this season.
  23. We had this one in the 2003/04 season for our European games. We only wore it twice.
  24. Preston's kits are just Nike teamwear and the kit deal is with the Just Sport Group who operate under the Nike brand and supply Nike teamwear kits to any team that has a contract with them. This means kits can be chosen and made quickly. When we were with Nike, the deal was actually with Nike themselves, hence why (apart from out first season with them due to time constraints) we didn't have any teamwear kits from them.
  25. We aren't last though. Everton aren't revealing their's until next month and Huddersfield and Schalke haven't revealed their's either. The Dingles are yet to reveal their's as well but I suspect that's due to their deal with Puma not ending until the end of this month. I'm guessing that the new home shirt will be released on the 4th or 5th of July as our first pre-season game is on the 6th.
