  1. Anyone been to the Newdrop near Longridge recently?
  2. The Continental, South Meadow Lane, www.newcontinental.org.uk , excellent value for money, good riverside location, 10 mins walk from railway station.
  3. Used to be a good place. last time I went, the upholstery was threadbare, the staff uniforms scruffy, the garden and furniture scruffy, the tables and window bottoms had drinks stains and the menu and theming was akin to a Beefeater.
  4. Anyone been to the Black Horse at Pimlico, near the cement works, Clitheroe?
  5. The Royal, Tockholes. Good country pub, good food.
  6. Try these Paul: Three Millstones, West Bradford Hark To Bounty, Slaidburn Lower Buck, Waddington
  7. Can anyone tell me the dates for the darts at Blackpool Winter Gardens next July?
  8. Sukhi's has been the best of the bunch since it opened. I seem to remember that the owner of Sukhi's used to be the head waiter at Akash.
  9. Anyone tried this place yet? Also good in the area are The Farmer's Arms, Heskin and The Robin Hood Inn, Mawdesley.
  10. What's the facebook page called?
  11. Good Spanish buffet at the Pear Tree sometimes. The Travellers Rest at Euxton, run by a Rovers fan is well worth a visit.
  12. I did offer alternatives! Also worth a visit is The Continental in Preston off Fishergate Brow. Hard to find but check the website. Good food, good beers and live music at weekends.
  13. Avoid Nick. Struggling recently due to poor management, new manager in place but early days yet. Heard it had even been burgled! Royal Oak up the road is much better for eating or the recently refurbished Rock Inn at Tockholes.
  14. Can't help thinking this wouldn't happen with Hughes in charge.
  15. First draft only held 24,000 so Jack ripped it up and got the architects to design second draft holding 32,000 but this required the purchase of far more of the surrounding houses on Nuttall St and Kidder St, 78 in total from memory.
  16. The Travellers Rest on Dawbers Lane between Euxton and Eccleston is worth a visit. Reopened last summer and run by a Rovers fan. Check out pie night Monday evenings.
  17. The Philharmonic in Liverpool is worth a visit.
  18. Is our scouting and coaching not good enough?
  19. I take it you are referring to the club that was formerly Kirkham and Wesham FC?
  20. Nissa is playing for AIK in the Swedish league, stuck at left back (again!) despite claiming to be a centre half... Always came across to me as a player lacking in confidence.
