I suspect the Brexit will prevent or at best delay an appointment of a foreign national. Just 36 hours left to get it over the line.

Michael Flynn is a good shout.

Now is the time to make a change allowing the in-coming manager the opportunity to shore up the defence (as Mowbray has proved utterly incapable in that respect for more than 2 years) and to look at reshaping the squad for next season. If he's a miracle worker the play-offs are still just about in reach-but now I'm just being silly.

Another defeat nailed on against struggling Brum. If the defence was poor with Nyambe and Ayala (and it was) just how will it cope without any recognised replacements? Just pray for a "circuit breaker" until the transfer window opens.

Championship Season 2020 - 2021

No need for Brum to worry. We'll give them 3 points on Saturday. You can rely on a Mowbray team to give a helping hand. -
Add Souness to the list that went stale.

Socially distanced.

Mowbray has a long history of blowing up in mid-season- at Celtic, Boro and Coventry - going into a slide he has no idea how to stop. He has to go NOW otherwise relegation is on the cards for this rag-tag squad.

Sack Mowbray. Cannot go on like this. Be looking just to stay up at this rate.

Not easy to assess whether Trybull has thrown his toys out of the pram or Mowbray is blanking him for throwing a hissy fit on being unjustifiably taken off against Stoke. Fortunately the centre midfield issue should be resolved when hopefully Travis returns. Then Trybull becomes surplus to requirements.

Jones would just join the others in the treatment room. -

Yes, and that was after playing Williams in the position for 2 seasons having been put there previously by that genius Coyle. Does Mowbray have any idea of what he wants at left back? -

How does Buckley start ahead of Davenport who is not even in a 20 man squad? Buckley is way out of depth at this level. -

Buckley plays in slow motion both in thought and deed. The contrast with Holtby was stark in this match. -

Utterly shocking performance. Even Bell looks good compared to Douglas. Buckley should never again be in the team. Gallagher and Lenihan not far behind. -

Every time Williams gets a soft tissue injury he's out for 3 months. Need to get rid at the end of the season. Cannot understand how Mowbray can say he's not looking for a centre back in January. The way he disregards the defence is beyond belief. -

"Weak" defines Williams defensive ability. I still cringe at the memory of all those times a winger brushed him aside (or he just gave up) when playing at left back. Changing his position in the back four doesn't change that. A team that relies on his defending will never get promoted from the Championship. -

Don't agree that Pukkis first goal was unavoidable. He was allowed to wander into space completely unmarked. Where was his marker Lenihan? Not even in camera shot. The second goal resulted from Lenihan fluffing a simple headed clearance then getting done for pace far too easily. -

A middle of the road manager if ever there was one. -

Another middle of the road manager isn't going to fire up a promotion push. The promoted teams either have a quality squad eg Fulham or an exceptional upcoming manager eg Dyche, Farke , Wilder or a serial promotion specialist such as Warnock or Hughton of which there are very few and sought after by bigger club's such as Forest. -

To get to a minimum of 73points usually required for the playoffs Rovers would need a WDL profile of 14/6/8 or 13/9/6 from the remaining 28 games. Not impossible but clearly now drinking in the last chance saloon. Certainly needs a massive improvement on a profile of 7/4/7 in the first 18 games. -

You need to be careful what you wish for in terms of managerial change with Venkys appalling track record. Ipswich fans were hurling pelters at McCarthy for keeping an extremely dull team in midtable. Then just look at what they've done since he left.... Mowbray has massively improved the squad in 4 years but he is utterly clueless about constructing a solid defence. There is likely to be a wholesale change in the squad next summer but the world weary Mowbray is not the right person to handle it.
