  1. How is it possible to get 11 points from 4 matches?
  2. A middle of the road manager if ever there was one.
  3. Another middle of the road manager isn't going to fire up a promotion push. The promoted teams either have a quality squad eg Fulham or an exceptional upcoming manager eg Dyche, Farke , Wilder or a serial promotion specialist such as Warnock or Hughton of which there are very few and sought after by bigger club's such as Forest.
  4. To get to a minimum of 73points usually required for the playoffs Rovers would need a WDL profile of 14/6/8 or 13/9/6 from the remaining 28 games. Not impossible but clearly now drinking in the last chance saloon. Certainly needs a massive improvement on a profile of 7/4/7 in the first 18 games.
  5. You need to be careful what you wish for in terms of managerial change with Venkys appalling track record. Ipswich fans were hurling pelters at McCarthy for keeping an extremely dull team in midtable. Then just look at what they've done since he left.... Mowbray has massively improved the squad in 4 years but he is utterly clueless about constructing a solid defence. There is likely to be a wholesale change in the squad next summer but the world weary Mowbray is not the right person to handle it.
  6. Do you REALLY think any Championship clubs would be interested in Douglas, Lenihan, Williams or Holtby as they've played this week??!
  7. The successful teams build from the back. Mowbray seems to regard defenders as an afterthought. In nearly 4 years he's stockpiled midfielders but even now with only 3 central defenders for the remainder of the season he has no intention of making any defensive recruitment in January. Moving Nyambe to the middle is simply robbing Peter to pay Paul.
  8. Buckley thinks too slowly when he receives the ball. Good players have the pass in mind much earlier. As a result openings are easily closed down.
  9. Lenihan is a total liability. Barely even Championship level. Appalling lack of control in lead up to goal was just one of many. Douglas is pathetic.
  10. We'll I've paid £10 and got a picture that looks like Ewood Park.
  11. Holtby is a flat track bully who only shines when weaker opponents stand off or reduced to 10 men. Too lightweight to dominate better teams.
  12. Selfish doesn't even begin to describe Armstrong.
  13. Yes only Dack and Travis the ones we REALLY miss. If Evans and Bennett were available TM would still be picking them.
  14. Mowbray said this week that Evans is still unable to run. Months off.
  15. Ayala looks like a mistake about happen. Not a patch on Wharton.
  16. Carter did not inspire any confidence with his contribution in the last 15 mins. Looks like an accident waiting to happen as he was at Luton last season. Have tp pray that Wharton is fit to resume on Wednesday.
  17. Mick has been involved in non-league football all his life. He seemed overwhelmed that occasionally a player managed to control a pass.
  18. Ayala needs to get fit before that can happen. By February for perhaps a couple of games?
  19. iFollow viewing figures are appalling. Either interest from fans has totally disappeared or far too many are free-loading at their club's expense.
  20. Lenihan not in the 23 man squad against Wales. Hopefully not another injury /covid problem ?
  21. At the age of 30 its about time that the "player in there" made an appearance. In reality it just doesnt exist. Evans is L1 standard like the country he represents.
  22. Mowbray had said earlier last week that there would be a round of testing on Thursday. Quite likely that either Holtby's test was a false negative (they often occur in the pre-symptomatic period) or he caught it that day.
  23. Very annoying when their matey lovein banter is going on whilst the oppo are on a breakaway. How they didn't see that Evans had done his hammy not his knee?
  24. He dealt with some crosses very well. Credit to Boro for the outswinging back post corners that Mulgrew frequently scored with..
  25. Resigning Downing is sensible in view of the ongoing (and probably neverending) Covid absences as well as the underwhelming performances of Evans, Buckley and Davenport.
