  1. Doubt that Potter would fancy managing a team that's nailed on for relegation. He's already turned down better jobs than Southampton.
  2. The last two managers who walked out to join Stoke - Alex Neil and Schumacher - both got sacked after less than a year there. Gary Rowett was similarly treated. It's a managerial graveyard.
  3. It was only ever going to be a loan.
  4. There wouldn't be any takers for JRC certainly not in the Championship and clubs in L1 rarely pay significant transfer fees. His history of injuries and lack of pace would also count against him. He's simply not a Championship player.
  5. Difficult to see any Championship standard players in this squad. Maybe Tronstad and Carter. Most of the remainder would be unlikely to make it into any other teams in this league. Venkys are building a squad for League 1.
  6. If this standard of performance is repeated in the Championship it's going to be the Season from Hell. Nothing much in this squad to suggest that it won't be.
  7. He's certainly not got the pace to play in a wide position. He's simply not Championship standard.
  8. Clueless and lifeless, Looked every inch a League 1 outfit. No Szmodics to bail them out any longer. Can expect much more of this dismal fare,
  9. At times he looks like a Sunday morning league player after a night on the lash.
  10. What is he like defensively? From those clips he looks more like a winger than a left back.
  11. Every deal is hard for the twats that own /manage the club. When it takes 2monrhs to do a deal witb 37 year old who misses preseason as a result.
  12. Wharton had a lot of collateral damage to the knee. Likely to take much longer.
  13. Another calf injury!! His calves are made of tissue paper. Best business of the summer getting £15m. even if it does just disappear into the Venkys Black Hole.
  14. Has Waggott ever managed to get a player to extend his contract? We know how many valuable players were allowed to slide out of contract the last time he had responsibility for contractual negotiations. It's no surprise that no player would sign a contract put in front of them by that slippery lardarse. Now it's a case of rinse and repeat as the club is set to lose both Hyam and Dolan for nothing at the end of the season.
  15. You're an optimistic if you think the incomings would be even that good.
  16. The club was desperate for funds to keep the lights on and avoid administration. Otherwise a figure that low should have been rejected out of hand.
  17. Perhaps his contract extension last December came with a release clause specifying an £8m fee?
  18. This club is looking more like a basket case as every day that passes with no action and total silence from the hierarchy. It smells like Blackpool under the Oystons and Reading in the last couple of years.
  19. Back injuries with younger players are very problematical and a recurrence is a bad sign. Would doubt he'll be playing this season.
  20. Archie Gray gone to Spurs for £30m and he's not even in the England squad. More evidence that Wharton was a panic sale. A once in a generation player sold for a pittance.
  21. And into the Venkys Black Hole
  22. I worked for a professional firm of similar headcount and they sponsored Southend United in the National League. Waggott is obviously planning ahead
  23. Hugely inderwhelming. They'll be paying buttons.
  24. So they have to find double the amount of funds than if there were no restrictions and the bond is forfeited if the case goes against them. On those terms they're not to send any funds.
